Obama Advances Baby Boom Criminals: Liberal Terrorism is Excusable if it’s for a Politically Correct Cause

This must be Obama’s idea of how to show respect for rule of law.  So as I understand it; the Green Czar is a former terrorist Dirt-Bag, serving in an unconstitutional role, designed to circumvent congressional approval and the constitution.  The Cabinet is approved by the Senate but Czars are created with an imperial wave of the Obama arm. Here is a man who would do anything for his liberal masters, by any means necessary, because the liberal cause is clearly his whole world.  You know, like Hitler appointing Nazi fanatics to corrupt and use the machinery of government to advance his sickening fascist agenda.  I wonder if Janet Napolitano (the director of Homeland Security) would put Van Jones on a potential terrorist list like they do Christians, Veterans and Legal gun owners.

Read the following Article and see if you can understand why Obama wants ex Weather Underground Thugs shaping and implementing policy for the United States Government……..  What does the bible say, “You shall know them by their fruits”?  Maybe Obama missed that day when that verse was preached during his twenty years in Jeremiah Wright’s church.

JERUSALEM – Van Jones, the man appointed as “green jobs czar” to the White House, previously served on the board of an environmental activist group at which a founder of the Weather Underground terrorist organization is a top director.

WND previously reported Jones was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.

He was appointed to serve as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. According to the White House blog, Jones’ duties include helping to craft job-generating climate policy and to ensure equal opportunity in the administration’s energy proposals.

Jones, formerly a self-described “rowdy black nationalist,” boasted in a 2005 interview with the left-leaning East Bay Express that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class “justice.”

Jones was president and founder of Green For All, a nonprofit organization that advocates for building a so-called inclusive green economy.

Until recently, Jones was a longtime member of the board of Apollo Alliance, a coalition of labor, business, environmental and community leaders that claims on its website to be “working to catalyze a clean energy revolution that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality, green-collar jobs.”

Although influential, Apollo has only 14 state affiliates nationwide. Its New York office is directed by Jeff Jones, a top founding member of the Weather Underground radical organization.

Jeff Jones’ bio on the Apollo website boasts the activist campaigned to remove PCBs from the Hudson River, clean up toxic pollution in inner-city and rural neighborhoods, and reverse global warming.

The bio states that from 1995-2005, Jeff Jones served as the communications director of Environmental Advocates of New York. Previously, he was a reporter covering state politics and policy for a variety of news organizations.

Not mentioned is that Jeff Jones was a leading anti-war activist and terrorist group founder who spent time on the run from law enforcement agencies while his group carried out a series of bombings of U.S. government buildings.

Jeff Jones joined the Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, from which the Weathermen splintered in the fall of 1965. Two years later, he became the SDS’s New York City regional director, a position in which he participated in nearly all of the group’s major protests until 1969, including the 1968 Columbia University protests and the violent riots that same year at the Democratic National Convention.

In 1969, Jeff Jones founded the Weathermen with terrorists Bill Ayers and Mark Rudd when the three signed an infamous statement calling for a revolution against the American government inside and outside the country to fight and defeat what the group called U.S. imperialism. President Obama came under fire for his longtime, extensive association with Ayers.

Jeff Jones was a main leader and orchestrator of what became known as the Days of Rage, a series of violent riots in Chicago organized by the Weathermen. The culmination of the riots came when he gave a signal for rowdy protestors to target a hotel that was the home of a local judge presiding over a trial of anti-war activists.

Jeff Jones went underground after he failed to appear for a March 1970 court date to face charges of “crossing state lines to foment a riot and conspiring to do so.” He moved to San Francisco with Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dorhn. That year, at least one bombing claimed by the Weathermen went off in Jones’ locale at the Presidio Army base.

Jones’ Weathermen would take credit for multiple bombings of U.S. government buildings, including attacks against the U.S. Capitol March 1, 1971; the Pentagon May 19, 1972, and a 1975 bombing of the State Department building.

Jeff Jones did not return WND phone and e-mail requests for comment.

White House adviser Van Jones, meanwhile, is not impartial to radical activism.

He was a founder and leader of the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. The organization had its roots in a grouping of black people organizing to protest the first Gulf War. STORM was formally founded in 1994, becoming one of the most influential and active radical groups in the San Francisco Bay area.

STORM worked with known communist leaders. It led the charge in black protests against various issues, including a local attempt to pass Proposition 21, a ballot initiative that sought to increase the penalties for violent crimes and require more juvenile offenders to be tried as adults.

The leftist blog Machete 48 identifies STORM’s influences as “third-worldist Marxism (and an often vulgar Maoism).”

Speaking to the East Bay Express, Van Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested.

“I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”

“I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’ I spent the next 10 years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary,” he said.

Trevor Loudon, a communist researcher and administrator of the New Zeal blog, identified several Bay Area communists who worked with STORM, including Elizabeth Martinez, who helped advise Jones’ Ella Baker Human Rights Center, which Jones founded to advocate civil justice. Jones and Martinez also attended a “Challenging White Supremacy” workshop together.

Martinez was a long time Maoist who went on to join the Communist Party USA breakaway organization Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, or CCDS, in the early 1990s, according to Loudon. Martinez still serves on the CCDS council and is also a board member of the Movement for a Democratic Society, where she sits alongside former Weathermen radicals Ayers and Dorhn.

One of STORM’s newsletters featured a tribute to Amilcar Cabral, the late Marxist revolutionary leader of Guinea-Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands.

The tribute is noteworthy because Jones reportedly named his son after Cabral and reportedly concludes every e-mail with a quote from the communist leader.

STORM eventually fell apart amid bickering among its leaders.

Van Jones then moved on to environmentalism. He used his Ella Baker Center to advocate “inclusive” environmentalism and launch a Green-Collar Jobs Campaign, which led to the nation’s first Green Jobs Corps in Oakland, Calif.

At the Clinton Global Initiative in 2007, Jones announced the establishment of Green For All, an activist organization which in 2008 held a national green conference in which most attendees were black. Jones also released a book, “The Green Collar Economy,” which debuted at No.12 on the New York Times’ bestseller list – the first environmental book written by an African American to make the list.

His appointment as a White House environmental adviser was announced March 10.

Foreclosure Rate is Up: Another Residential Real Estate Crisis is Entirely Possible

They say that the next big real estate crisis is the collapse of the “commercial real estate market” but that’s too optimistic by half: we’re likely to see another sharp downturn in residential real estate as ever more mortgages go under water.  A German analyst recently conclude that shortly half of American mortgages will be underwater, that is, worth less than the mortgage balance, and when the bank sells the properties at a steep discount it drives the market prices down. It’s fashionable to speculate that real-estate has hit bottom and found a floor just like its fashionable to speculate that the recession and our economic woes are over.

The stock market has enjoyed a reprieve and some of the big banks give the illusion of being on the mend.  The fact that the government has stepped in to manipulate the market so as to avoid an unavoidable crisis will work for a time, just as it will with the banks, but as foreclosures mount the pressure continues to build.  The reprieve we’ve seen in recent days in real estate and banking are largely an illusion brought about by foolish and ham handed attempts by government to stave off the inevitable consequences demanded by our behavior.

Commercial Real Estate is going to crash as the economy derails again within the next six months.

Residential Real Estate is going to crash again as foreclosures continue and as unemployment and inflation skyrocket.

Banks will continue to be stressed, even destroyed, as the real estate assets in all classes’ lose value from the foreclosure cycle.

Out of Control Government Debt and our Broken Political System will continue to drive down the value of the dollar, perhaps to catastrophic levels and more and more nations lose faith in us.  Government intervention is destroying the economy, the currency, and perhaps the social cohesion of this nation.

We’re in a reprieve right now but don’t kid yourself: it’s going to get hairy again soon!  It’s just a question of when the next shoe drops and if the economic and political structures can survive and events unfold.

Consider the following from the Associated Press:

Foreclosures rise 7 percent in July from June

By ALAN ZIBEL, AP Real Estate Writer Alan Zibel, Ap Real Estate Writer – 1 hr 57 mins ago

WASHINGTON – The number of U.S. households on the verge of losing their homes rose 7 percent from June to July, as the escalating foreclosure crisis continued to outpace government efforts to limit the damage.

Foreclosure filings were up 32 percent from the same month last year, RealtyTrac Inc. said Thursday. More than 360,000 households, or one in every 355 homes, received a foreclosure-related notice, such as a notice of default or trustee’s sale. That’s the highest monthly level since the foreclosure-listing firm began publishing the data more than four years ago.

Banks repossessed more than 87,000 homes in July, up from about 79,000 homes a month earlier.

Nevada had the nation’s highest foreclosure rate for the 31st-straight month, followed by California, Arizona, Florida and Utah. Rounding out the top 10 were Idaho, Georgia, Illinois, Colorado and Oregon. Among cities, Las Vegas had the highest rate, followed by the California cities of Stockton and Modesto.

While there have been numerous recent signs that the ailing U.S. housing market is finally stabilizing after three years of plunging prices, foreclosures remain a big concern. Foreclosures are typically sold at a deep discount, hurting neighbors’ home values.

The mortgage industry has been slow to adapt to the surge in foreclosures. Many lenders have needed government prodding to get up to speed with the Obama administration’s plan to stem foreclosures.

The Treasury Department said last week that banks have extended only 400,000 offers to 2.7 million eligible borrowers who are more than two months behind on their payments. More than 235,000, or 9 percent, those borrowers have enrolled in three-month trials in which their monthly payments are reduced.

“The volume of loans that are in distress simply overwhelms” those efforts, said Rick Sharga, RealtyTrac’s senior vice president for marketing.

The Suicide of the American Government: How the Global Banking Elite made our Elected Representatives Commit Suicide on Command

The power crazed socialists of the Democrat Party have the reins of power and they’re bent on ending capitalism and inaugurate a new warm and fuzzy fascism that will cement the takeover of the United States by an elite financial oligarchy by ideological means. They’re going to turn us into a morose, weak, European state even if it kills us——– and it is killing us. The Obama worshiping fanatics will cry about compassion, green policies, tolerance and “evolving ethical standards” and my personal favorite, “social justice”, while the bankers solidify their power behind the scenes and pull the politicians strings with campaign contributions.

For decades the banking elites have, through corporate and philanthropic front organizations, corrupted and manipulated higher education and science until it routinely spits out “study’s” that support whatever the elites want us to believe. The crazed partisan media has been as corrupted as higher education and they routinely spout the elitist agenda, usually preceded by the phrase, “Science Says” to give legitimacy and cover to our invisible masters. On collage campuses across the nation they worry about global warming and saving the planet; they use bogus science to justify a social policy that sounds sophisticated and utopian but in reality is simply the global bankers repossessing the wealth and power of America. The professors scream “global warming” and the media screams “we’re all going to die” and the Government enacts Cap and Trade, and refuses to develop existing energy recourses for our own good and guess what??????? We’re dead.

Now maybe I’m getting cynical at midlife but when academics tells us that global warming is “settled science” and then suppresses and blackballs any scientist who dares present contradictory evidence I tend to think the liberal Scientists are lying. When Liberal Social Scientists tell me that Universal Health Care isn’t a Trojan horse for first legal, then mandatory, Euthanasia, (in spite of it being obviously government rationing of health care,) (Euthanasia) I tend to see the social scientists as liars. When the Government tells me that Universal Health Care is not about free abortions on demand; in spite of the fact that it’s in the legislation: I tend to “believe my lying eyes” rather than the government. Indeed when “Social Science” seems to find it necessary to enshroud the conventions of “political correctness” as American law via “Hate Crimes Legislation” and then suggests that any resistance to their agenda is “domestic terrorism” and “Christian Fanaticism” I tend to think I’m being conned.

Who benefits from the eternal political pie fight described above? The global banking elite, who print our money, spend and distribute it like salt water, and encourage us to become dependent on government in every way. They want us to be dependent on a government that they control, for our own good, as they work their will through unwitting dupes at the highest levels of our political parties. Corrupt Political Parties advance the goals of their super-wealthy masters while selling it as; Cap and Trade, Forced Vaccinations and Social Justice, and Environmentalism. They sell “Universal Health Care” not Abortion, Euthanasia and a new and frightening Eugenics program that replaces natural selection with a faceless committee of banking royalty.

The American Political System is broken and her wealth is being siphoned off to faceless transnational structures that are too big to fail, for our own good, by the people who pay the exorbitant prices to keep electing and reelecting our politicians, pay the salaries of our news media, and endow college chairs and research. The true power structure of our world is a transnational cabal of the super wealthy who wield more power than the present bought and paid for government of Barak Obama. Without the super wealthy elite there is and never would have been a Barak Obama and the coming fall of America from world leadership.

I never really understood the truth of the Bible saying that “the love of money is the root of all evil” but I understand it now. Money is about Power and Power is about Control and Control is about playing god—–Just like Satan wanted to do. Now I think I understand why our Christian Founding Fathers warned us that a Central Bank was “far more dangerous than a Standing Army!”

America is being raped, looted and burned to the ground as we stand in mute shock and stare at our children’s future going up in smoke. At Best we manage a pathetic whimper while our government, with a suicidal apathy at the highest levels, embarks on one obviously suicidal policy after another. The nation-state will die with America and a bizarre and evil transnational fascism of the financial elite will rule behind a facade of “government”. For all intents and purposes the world government predicted by the bible is already here— we just might not call it that. We the people will serve the jokers who are spending the money like salt water in a controlled demolition of the United States of America.

Consider the story below from the Associated Press because this is going to go on and on until the United States is toast.

Federal deficit higher in July, $1.27T this year Record federal deficit climbs higher, $180.7 billion in July, $1.27 trillion so far this year •

By Martin Crutsinger, AP Economics Writer • On Wednesday August 12, 2009, 3:07 pm EDT WASHINGTON (AP) –

The federal deficit climbed higher into record territory in July, hitting $1.27 trillion with two months remaining in the budget year. The Treasury Department said Wednesday that the July deficit totaled $180.7 billion, slightly more than the $177.5 billion economists had expected.

The Obama administration is projecting that when the current budget year ends on Sept. 30, the imbalance will total $1.84 trillion, more than four times last year’s record-high. The soaring deficits have raised worries among foreign owners of U.S. Treasury securities including the Chinese, the largest holder of such debt. Massive amounts of government spending to combat the recession and stabilize the U.S. financial system have pushed the deficit higher.

The cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with depleted government tax revenues, also are major factors. The July deficit reflected government spending of $332.2 billion, a record amount for any month and up from outlays of $263.3 billion in July 2008. Of that increase, about $25 billion reflected the fact that Aug. 1 was a Saturday this year, requiring many government benefit checks to be sent out earlier and counted as spending in July. Government receipts totaled $151.5 billion, down 5.6 percent from a year ago. It marked the 15th consecutive month that government receipts have been lower than the same month in the prior year, illustrating how deep the recession has cut into tax receipts.

Through the first 10 months of the budget year, receipts total $1.74 trillion, down 16.9 percent from the same period in 2008. Outlays totaled $3 trillion over the past 10 months, up 21.1 percent from the same period in 2008. The resulting deficit of $1.27 trillion compares to an imbalance of $388.6 billion during the year-ago period.

The deficit for all of 2008 was $454.8 billion, the current record holder in dollar terms. President Barack Obama’s economic team sought to reassure the Chinese during high-level talks last month that the administration is committed to reducing the deficits once the current economic and financial crises have been resolved. So far, interest rates have remained low as the Federal Reserve has kept the federal funds rate, a key short-term interest rate at a record low near zero in an effort to jump-start the economy. At the end of a two-day meeting Wednesday, Fed officials repeated their view that the weak economy was likely to “to warrant exceptionally low levels of the federal funds rate for an extended period.” The concern, however, is that rates could begin rising despite the Fed’s efforts if foreigners suddenly lose confidence in the government’s ability to manage its debt burden.

In bond markets, prices fell Wednesday after a fairly weak auction of $23 billion in 10-year Treasury notes. The Treasury Department is auctioning a record $75 billion in debt this week. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note, which moves opposite its price, rose to 3.75 percent from 3.70 percent ahead of the auction results and 3.67 percent late Tuesday. Bond prices jumped Tuesday as stocks fell. Investors will track demand because a drop in buyers could force the government to increase its payout. The resulting rise in rates would raise borrowing costs for the government as well as consumers and businesses, and could end up slowing the economy. The total public debt now stands at $11.6 trillion. Interest payments on the debt cost $452 billion last year, the largest federal spending category after Medicare-Medicaid, Social Security and defense.

A Second Stimulus: PT Barnum Was Right Because a Sucker is Born Every Minute

How much snake oil can the Government pour down our meek and un-protesting throats before their economic cure kills the United States of America?  Only 10% of the first stimulus has been spent and the interest on that giant stimulus is about a hundred million dollars a year: and that was supposed to keep America working.  As we had inexorably toward a double digit unemployment rate the powers that be are saying that the first $800 billion package of stimulus wasn’t big enough and that’s why unemployment is still going up.  It’s not that the stimulus was a disaster and didn’t work because government screws up everything it touches it’s that it wasn’t big enough!

Next week I’m sure the Neo-Socialist Democrats will try to sell us a bridge in Brooklyn if we continue to buy into the looting of tax dollars that Obama calls a “stimulus”.  It begs the question: will the congress take the time to read the second stimulus this time or just rush it through unread because it takes too long to read the list of payouts to ACORN, Goldman Sax, the NEA, All Unions, and all the various groups that make up the client groups of the Neo-Socialist-Democrats.  Perhaps there’s an OSHA rule prohibiting congress from reading the sheer volume of stupidity contained in the last years worth of legislation because the sheer volume of it could dangerously lower the IQ of congress.  (Can it go any lower?)

Consider the article below from Bloomberg as the Obama Government goes evermore off the rails:

Obama Adviser Says U.S. Should Mull Second Stimulus (Update2)

By Shamim Adam

July 7 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. should consider drafting a second stimulus package focusing on infrastructure projects because the $787 billion approved in February was “a bit too small,” said Laura Tyson, an adviser to President Barack Obama.

The current plan “will have a positive effect, but the real economy is a sicker patient,” Tyson said in a speech in Singapore today. The package will have a more pronounced impact in the third and fourth quarters, she added, stressing that she was speaking for herself and not the administration.

Tyson’s comments contrast with remarks made two days ago by Vice President Joe Biden and fellow Obama adviser Austan Goolsbee, who said it was premature to discuss crafting another stimulus because the current measures have yet to fully take effect. The government is facing criticism that the first package was rolled out too slowly and failed to stop unemployment from soaring to the highest in almost 26 years.

Obama said last month that a second package isn’t needed yet, though he expects the jobless rate will exceed 10 percent this year. When Obama signed the first stimulus bill in February, his chief economic advisers forecast it would help hold the rate below 8 percent.

Unemployment increased to 9.5 percent in June, the highest since August 1983. The world’s largest economy has lost about 6.5 million jobs since December 2007.

Worse Than Forecast

“The economy is worse than we forecast on which the stimulus program was based,” Tyson, who is a member of Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory board, told the Nomura Equity Forum. “We probably have already 2.5 million more job losses than anticipated.”

Republicans, including House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio, seized on the latest labor numbers to attack the Obama administration’s handling of the economy.

Even Democrats have bemoaned the pace of the package’s implementation. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, a Maryland Democrat, said on “Fox News Sunday” June 5 that congressional Democrats are “disappointed” stimulus funds weren’t distributed faster.

“The money is just really starting to come out in more significant amounts now,” Tyson said. “The stimulus is performing close to expectations but not in timing.”

Package Affordable

Tyson, 62, later told reporters that the U.S. can afford to pay for a second package, even as the fiscal deficit soars. She said the budget shortfall is “likely to be worse” than the equivalent of 12 percent of gross domestic product that the administration forecast for 2009 and the 8 percent to 9 percent it projected for next year.

The professor at the University of California’s Walter A. Haas School of Business downplayed worries from China and other countries with dollar reserves that the U.S. will let inflation soar as the deficit expands.

“The concern is that the U.S. will have to inflate away its debt. I do not think that is a valid concern,” she said. “The Federal Reserve is not going to let the U.S. government inflate away its debt.”

The U.S. needs to communicate its determination to reduce the annual shortfall once the economy recovers, she said.

While unemployment is worsening, other data have shown the economy is improving. U.S. manufacturing shrank last month at the slowest rate since August, according to the Institute for Supply Management’s factory index, and a measure of pending home sales advanced in May for a fourth month.

Tyson said the U.S. should shift away from its dependence on consumption to grow, and promote expansion through investment and exports. The dollar will need to weaken in the longer term to promote export-led growth, she said.

Credibility in the Balance: How Activism Corrupts Everything it touches including Science

There are a great many true believers in “Activism”, by that I mean, that one should always bring ones politics and resolve as an “agent of social change” to the table in whatever profession one happens to be working. If something contradicts the prevailing political correctness; than one has a professional duty, as an agent of social change, to enforce the liberal view for the betterment of society without regard to the truth, because this is the educated and politically correct procedure.

When the people vote against homosexual marriage and adoption, when they vote against abortion on demand; it’s simply proof that the masses are ignorant, and the modern day liberal feels the need to correct the situation because clearly they’re right and the masses are wrong.  So a liberal sues over the action the people have voted on and the matter comes in front of an “activist” liberal judge who is horrified at the decision.  The people have spoken and come to an ignorant and unjust decision, in the mind of the liberal judge, but instead of allowing the people to make a decision the judge disagrees with the Judge invalidates the peoples will via “Judicial Activism”. What once would have rightly been called judicial corruption and misconduct now is given a new spiffy name like “Judicial Activism” and the judge is now magically empowered to use his “compassion” and “empathy” to rationalize defiance of the electorate.  People didn’t vote to allow abortion on demand: Judges invented a “right” and changed the name from infanticide to “a woman’s constitutional right to reproductive freedom”. Judges have found “rights “to “homosexual marriage” despite the clear view of the electorate that such a “right” doesn’t exist and such a practice should not be allowed.

In the nation’s schools the idea that liberals should indoctrinate the children with a host of liberal political baggage is called multiculturalism, cultural sensitivity training, ecological instruction, and health class and so on but not corruption.  Its function is to allow liberal adults to inculcate the children, from grade school through college, to become liberal neo-socialist-democrats because they’ve successfully rationalized teaching their political baggage to a defenseless, captive audience.  They teach reverence for the welfare state, white guilt, elevation of minority self esteem, tolerance for homosexual “lifestyles”, condom use and birth control, and above all the idea that America is hateful intolerant and exploitive and you must embrace your “ethnicity” to have a chance at a good life.  Group identity is reinforced at every turn but only with respect for which of the many possible liberal power blocks a student might be steered into: never toward a common identity as American Citizens which is evil and run exclusively by, and for, white male Christians.

All the world’s woes have been traced by today’s teachers as the exclusive fault of white male Christians and perpetrated to steal the control and power of minority groups such as blacks, women, the handicapped and yes, kids. Teachers see themselves as churning out “agents of social change” rather than as scumbags who shamelessly regurgitate they’re political crap on children who are too young to resist their idiotic political beliefs. The teachers don’t see themselves as corrupt scumbags subverting your will, and insulting your Childs intelligence, they see it as instilling a social conscience and as churning out “agents of social change”: activities they claim are “education” rather than corruption.  You can see how effective they are by our dismal test scores and the fact that American education is, and has been, in free fall for many years. You can educate or you can indoctrinate; but you can’t do both because you can’t be truly educated and hide behind an intellectual fig leaf of ideological indoctrination.

If the truth doesn’t work politically the modern liberal invents a new “truth” and demands respect for “their truth” as a matter of basic fairness because: “the truth wares many faces” and “there’s no such thing as absolute truth” and “all truth is culturally created” and “fundamentally there is no truth”.

Truth is seen as an impossible dream by journalists who rationalize the fabrication of news as inevitable, and even as good, if an “agent of social change” is writing the story.  The journalistic ethics of objectivity and honest reporting is old fashioned and it’s not enough for journalists to report the truth if the people don’t come to the right conclusion about the issue.  It’s the journalist’s job, as “agents of social change” to use the events of the day to reinforce key liberal social and political propaganda because the masses are too ignorant to form their own.  News outlets don’t report facts anymore: they market the conclusions of the neo-socialist-elite-democrats along with whatever “facts” can be made to serve a preselected conclusion. It’s become a farce and a great shame that so many once professional news organizations now have a reputation as openly liberal and as advancing the agenda of neo-socialist-democrats at every opportunity.

In this wilderness of political corruption that has reached its full powers during the baby boom generation, there was one domain that seemed safe from the intimidation of leftists and that was the realm of hard science.  In science, facts are the building blocks of reproducible truths about our world and how it operates.  Steely-eyed scientists produced a boom of progress and innovation by their devotion to facts and integrity of their experiments and everyone prospered from their efforts. Scientists were respected just as teachers, and judges, and journalists used to be, because their integrity kept us free and moving forward as a society.

Then came global warming; an issue that could be made to serve the Neo-Socialist-Democrat agenda.  Scientists became “activists “and in so doing ceased to be scientists and became scumbags like the people of other professions who sold their ethics for political correctness.  Facts that supported global warming were proclaimed “settled science” and facts that contradicted global warming became lies of the great right-wing-agenda that hates minorities and seeks only profit and the rape of the earth. Politics reared its ugly head and the only politically correct answer was that global warming was caused by our white, male, Christian society and we’re all going to die unless we become tree hugging liberals! We must give up capitalism for socialism or we’ll destroy the earth.  Scientists who proclaimed this crap continued to be scientists, won awards, got funding and accolades, and full professorships to say nothing of tenure at prestigious universities.  Those who didn’t were hounded out of the academy by their politically correct comrades who had a “basic social conscience” and were therefore justified in persecuting and destroying anyone who disagrees with them.

It’s been very difficult and embarrassing for pro global warming “scientists” to explain the ever growing body of facts that suggest we may be heading into a mini ice age which these politically correct “scientists” deny without really looking at the data. It’s been encouraging, lately; that our socialist masters have determined that “global warming” should be replaced, as an issue, by “climate change”.  Apparently the fact that climate, changes, is the fault of white male based exploitive society too!

Here is something from World Net Daily on “Climate Change” (formerly global warming, aka ecology movement)

HEAT OF THE MOMENT
EPA’s own research expert ‘shut up’ on climate change
Government analyst silenced after he critiques CO2 findings

By Chelsea Schilling
© 2009 WorldNetDaily Environmental Protection Agency officials have silenced one of their own senior researchers after the 38-year employee issued an internal critique of the EPA’s climate change position.

Alan Carlin, senior operations research analyst at the EPA’s National Center for Environmental Economics, or NCEE, submitted his research on the agency’s greenhouse gases endangerment findings and offered a fundamental critique on the EPA’s approach to combating CO2 emissions

. But officials refused to share his conclusion in an open internal discussion, claiming his research would have “a very negative impact on our office.”

His study was barred from circulation within the EPA and was never disclosed to the public for political reasons, according to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, or CEI, a group that has accessed four internal e-mails on the subject.

CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman told WND, “His boss basically told him, ‘No, I’m not going to send your study further up. It’s going to stay within this bureau.’”

A March 12 e-mail to Carlin warned him not to have “any direct communication with anyone outside NCEE on endangerment.”

Carlin, a researcher who earned his doctorate in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in physics from California Institute of Technology, informed officials that two-thirds of his references were from peer-reviewed publications and defended his inclusion of new research on the topic.

“It is also my view that the critical attribute of good science is its correspondence to observable data rather than where it appears in the technical literature,” he wrote. “I believe my comments are valid, significant and contain references to significant new research … They are significant because they present information critical to justification (or lack thereof) for the proposed [greenhouse gas] endangerment finding.”

After nearly one week of discussion, NCEE Director Al McGartland informed Carlin on March 17 that he would not include the research in the internal EPA discussion.

“Alan, I decided not to forward your comments,” he wrote. “… The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward on endangerment, and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision. … I can only see one impact of your comments given where we are in the process, and that would be a very negative impact on our office.”

endangerment findings nearly final, you need to move on to other issues and subjects. I don’t want you to spend any additional EPA time on climate change. No papers, no research etc, at least until we see what EPA is going to do with Climate.”

CEI charges that suppression of Carlin’s study denied public access to important agency information, as court rulings have indicated that both “the evidence relied upon [by the agency] and the evidence discarded” must be included in the rulemaking record.

“They could come up with reasons to reject it, as I’m sure they’re going to come up with reasons to reject the scientific objections that are coming in now from outside parties in the general public and from skeptical scientists,” Kazman told WND. “But I’d say the real issue here is that this critique is coming from a career EPA insider, so it can’t be dismissed as the work of someone in the pay of the coal-burning fossil-fuel industry. The fact that someone within the EPA was taking this approach is something that would be naturally embarrassing to the agency.”

CEI also said the incident violated the EPA’s commitment to transparency and scientific honesty.

Prior to taking office, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson declared, “As Administrator, I will ensure EPA’s efforts to address the environmental crises of today are rooted in three fundamental values: science-based policies and programs, adherence to the rule of law, and overwhelming transparency.”

Likewise, CEI reminds the EPA of President Obama’s April 27 speech to the National Academy of Sciences in which he stated, “[U]nder my administration, the days of science taking a back seat to ideology are over.”

In a memo to the EPA, Kazman wrote, “Because of ideology, however, it was this back seat to which Mr. Carlin’s study was relegated; more precisely, it was booted out of the car entirely.”

“The irony of the president and Administrator Jackson talking about EPA’s new transparency and commitment to scientific integrity, that’s really incredible,” Kazman said.

CEI is asking the agency to make Carlin’s study public, extend or reopen the comment period to allow public response to his research and publicly declare that there will be no reprisals against Carlin for his research.

Kazman said the issue is “coming to a head” because the EPA’s internal commentary period just closed, and the 1,200-page Waxman-Markey climate bill to cap greenhouse gas emissions is scheduled to come to a vote Friday on the House floor.

He believes Carlin’s study could have implications on how lawmakers feel about the allegedly solid research behind the climate bill – especially if objecting analysts within the agency are being silenced.

“Any right-minded administrator would have said, ‘Fine, put it in and we’ll give our reasons for why we reject his contentions,” Kazman said. “But instead, they shut the guy up.”

The Trickle-Down Economic Depression: State and Local Governments Raising Taxes

The mass confiscation of individual wealth and property by government continues as insolvent state and local governments adopt a perverse “Me-to-ism” to raise taxes like the federal government and lay claim to their share of your pie.  Instead of massive cuts necessary to balance their budgets; the politicians at all levels of government, are stealing the money from the taxpayers who have already been beaten, nearly to death, by Obama’s insane spending.  In the old days, both people and governments would tighten their belts in hard times: but now the commissars of government, at all level, are tightening their belts around your neck. It’s monkey see monkey do as everyone watches  the federal government massively increase spending, hikes taxes on nearly everything, and ignores the constitution, whenever convenient, to perpetuate waste and corruption that is big government.

Government at all levels is out of control.

The answer to our government woes is clear.  It no longer matters if you are a republican or democrat the question is do you believe in limited government, rule of law, term limits and Capitalism above socialism and communism?  We need to vote for anyone that will support smaller government and the destruction of our professional political class because when you have career politicians, elitists, running the show you have either the seeds or the reality of tyrannical government.  The time has come to remove government from trying to solve social problems that it perpetuates for the purpose of political control. Identity politics must be ended.  We need to be Americans again instead of Black—Americans, Hispanic Americans, Homosexual-Americans, Atheist-Americans and any other sub group hyphenated identification.  This sort of thing is killing this country.

Socialized Government divides us, to control us, because we’ve abdicated our individual responsibility to a bizarre form of politically-correct-group-think that is now clearly destroying the country.

We don’t have the money for all the government programs that are currently strangling the life from our economy, and our retirement accounts, to say nothing of our declining home values, and the coming inflationary wave that will wipe out what’s left of our individual saving and checking accounts. The amount of insane duplication of social programs in federal, state, county, local, governments is stunning.  Must we have a sort of Environmental Protection Agency duplicated at every level, from federal to local governments?  Must we have the federal government involved in education at all?  Shall we have “diversity” programs and political correctness commissars at every level of state, federal, county and city government?  Isn’t the purpose of government to create conditions conducive to living our lives as we see fit without becoming obtrusive?  Do you think it’s getting a tad intrusive when government nationalizes whole industries, regulates soda pop because it makes you fat, and mandates health care coverage at a time when the economy is being kept alive be a respirator? Do you like government owning the bank that owns your mortgage?  Do you want to drive a government designed car?  Do you want government to make you weaker while government becomes so bloated, dictatorial and arrogant that they look at you as a necessary evil instead of as the boss of government? Are you the Boss of Government?  Are you waiting for Obama to help you and tell you what to do, think and believe?  When is enough; enough where this government is concerned?

Setting Criminals free because we can’t afford jails is Insane.

California is 24 Billion Short and its answer is to release criminals from prison early instead of taking a meat cleaver to its bloated and crazy budget and reordering its priorities to reflect a freedom loving American state instead of France.  Maine is taxing candy while Wisconsin taxes Oil companies.  Kentucky is taxing cell phone ring tones while Pennsylvania does a 16% increase in state income tax.  Revenue from all sources to government is drying up as the economy gets worse and unemployment continues to rise as the value of the dollar continues to fall.  The Federal Government is thinking about a National Sales Tax, just like Europe, to pay for “healthcare” and the Cap and Trade debacle is still a possibility. It doesn’t matter that gas costs are up over $70 a barrel and expected to continue to climb.  Illinois wants to stop paying for poor people’s funerals and New Hampshire wants to sell nearly 30 state parks.  The beat goes on and on and on.

There’s no more money and the only intelligent thing to do is to keep first things first at every level of government and to take government out of social spending because it’s dividing the nation and bankrupting us.

We stand in the midst of our own folly.  We’ve elevated government above God and the Family and even the Constitution: and it turns out we were wrong.  Big Government can’t work because it becomes big corruption.  The only way government can be made to truly serve the people is to keep it small and sharply restrict its growth and intrusion into society.  Government won’t give us social justice: it’s just not designed to do so.  Government cant end racism but it can perpetuate it and harvest the votes of perpetual victims to justify more government, bigger government, more powerful government. Government should ensure equality of opportunity: NOT EQUALITY OF OUTCOMES.  The only person who can ensure the equality of an outcome is you.

The Answer to every level of government with a financial problem is the same: Cut taxes and Cut Spending until your budget is balanced.

The only way to prosper and remain free is to demand that government cut itself down to size and to reject any politicians who favor big government and tax increases of any kind. Right now we’re facing a political crisis in which government is out of control.   Government is on a self destructive spending binge, the nefarious Federal Reserve is on an America destroying currency printing spree, and the people are increasingly out of work, exhausted and despondent while trying to maintain a criminal government that’s at least 50% larger than it should be. Why should we pay for big corrupt governments we don’t want don’t need, and that now creates more problems than it solves?  Its incumbent on a free people to put an end to big government before big government put an end to freedom for the people.  You can side with political correctness; social engineering and “activist” judges and government or you can side with limited government, the constitution and personal responsibility.  You can’t have both.

Consider this article by the New York Times that I found on the Drudge Report:

States Turning to Last Resorts in Budget Crisis

 By ABBY GOODNOUGH

Published: June 21, 2009

In Hawaii, state employees are bracing for furloughs of three days a month over the next two years, the equivalent of a 14 percent pay cut. In Idaho, lawmakers reduced aid to public schools for the first time in recent memory, forcing pay cuts for teachers.Skip to next paragraph

And in California, where a $24 billion deficit for the coming fiscal year is the nation’s worst, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed releasing thousands of prisoners early and closing more than 200 state parks.

Meanwhile, Maine is adding taxes on candy and ski tickets, Wisconsin on oil companies, and Kentucky on alcohol and cellphone ring tones.

With state revenues in a free fall and the economy choked by the worst recession in 60 years, governors and legislatures are approving program cuts, layoffs and, to a smaller degree, tax increases that were previously unthinkable.

All but four states must have new budgets in place less than two weeks from now — by July 1, the start of their fiscal year. But most are already predicting shortfalls as tax collections shrink, unemployment rises and the stock market remains in turmoil.

“These are some of the worst numbers we have ever seen,” said Scott D. Pattison, executive director of the National Association of State Budget Officers, adding that the federal stimulus money that began flowing this spring was the only thing preventing widespread paralysis, particularly in the areas of education and health care. “If we didn’t have those funds, I think we’d have an incredible number of states just really unsure of how they were going to get a new budget out.”

The states where the fiscal year does not end June 30 are Alabama, Michigan, New York and Texas.

Even with the stimulus funds, political leaders in at least 19 states are still struggling to negotiate budgets, which has incited more than the usual drama and spite. Governors and legislators of the same party are finding themselves at bitter odds: in Arizona, Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, sued the Republican-controlled Legislature earlier this month after it refused to send her its budget plan in hopes that she would run out of time to veto it.

In Illinois, the Democratic-led legislature is fighting a plan by Gov. Patrick J. Quinn, also a Democrat, to balance the new budget by raising income taxes. And in Massachusetts, Gov. Deval Patrick, a Democrat, has threatened to veto a 25 percent increase in the state sales tax that Democratic legislative leaders say is crucial to help close a $1.5 billion deficit in the new fiscal year.

“Legislators have never dealt with a recession as precipitous and rapid as this one,” said Susan K. Urahn, managing director of the Pew Center on the States. “They’re faced with some of the toughest decisions legislators ever have to make, for both political and economic reasons, so it’s not surprising that the environment has become very tense.”

In all, states will face a $121 billion budget gap in the coming fiscal year, according to a recent report by the National Conference of State Legislatures, compared with $102.4 billion for this fiscal year.

The recession has also proved politically damaging for a number of governors, not least Jon Corzine of New Jersey, whose Republican opponent in this year’s race for governor has tried to make inroads by blaming the state’s economic woes on him. Mr. Schwarzenegger, who sailed into office on a wave of popularity in 2003, will leave in 2011 — barred by term limits from running again — under the cloud of the nation’s worst budget crisis. And the bleak economy has played a major role in the waning popularity of Gov. David A. Paterson of New York.

Over all, personal income tax collections are down by about 6.6 percent compared with last year, according to a survey by Mr. Pattison’s group and the National Governors Association. Sales tax collections are down by 3.2 percent, the survey found, and corporate income tax revenues by 15.2 percent. (Although New Jersey announced last week that a tax amnesty program had brought in an unexpected $400 million — a windfall that caused lawmakers to reconsider some of the deeper cuts in a $28.6 billion budget they were set to approve in advance of the July 1 deadline.)

As a result, governors have recommended increasing taxes and fees by some $24 billion for the coming fiscal year, the survey found. This is on top of more than $726 million they sought in new revenues this year.

The proposals include increases in personal income tax rates — Gov. Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania has proposed raising the state’s income tax by more than 16 percent, to 3.57 percent from 3.07 percent, for three years — and tax increases on myriad consumer goods.

“They have done a fair amount of cutting and will probably do some more,” said Ray Scheppach, executive director of the governors association. “But as they look out over the next two or three years, they are also aware that when this federal money stops coming, there is going to be a cliff out there.”

Raising revenues is the surest way to ensure financial stability after the stimulus money disappears, Mr. Scheppach added, saying, “You’re better off to take all the heat at once and do it in one package that gets you through the next two, three or four years.”

While state general fund spending typically increases by about 6 percent a year, it is expected to decline by 2.2 percent for this fiscal year, Mr. Pattison said. The last year-to-year decline was in 1983, he said, on the heels of a national banking crisis.

The starkest crisis is playing out in California, where lawmakers are scrambling to close the $24 billion gap after voters rejected ballot measures last month that would have increased taxes, borrowed money and reapportioned state funds.

Democratic legislative leaders last week offered alternatives to Mr. Schwarzenegger’s recommended cuts, including levying a 9.9 percent tax on oil extracted in the state and increasing the cigarette tax to $2.37 a pack, from 87 cents. But Mr. Schwarzenegger has vowed to veto any budget that includes new taxes, setting the stage for an ugly battle as the clock ticks toward the deadline.

“We still don’t know how bad it will be,” Ms. Urahn said. “The story is yet to be told, because in the next couple of weeks we will see some of the states with the biggest gaps have to wrestle this thing to the ground and make the tough decisions they’ve all been dreading.”

In one preview, Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, a Republican, said last week that he would unilaterally cut a total of $2.7 billion from nearly all government agencies and programs that get money from the state, after he and Democratic legislative leaders failed to agree on how to balance the budget.

In an example of the countless small but painful cuts taking place, Illinois announced last week that it would temporarily stop paying about $15 million a year for about 10,000 funerals for the poor. Oklahoma is cutting back hours at museums and historical sites, Washington is laying off thousands of teachers, and New Hampshire wants to sell 27 state parks.

Nor will the pain end this year, Ms. Urahn said, even if the recession ends, as some economists have predicted. Unemployment could keep climbing through 2010, she said, continuing to hurt tax collections and increasing the demand for Medicaid, one of states’ most burdensome expenses.

“Stress on the Medicaid system tends to come later in a recession, and we have yet to see the depth of that,” Ms. Urahn said. “So you will see, for the next couple years at least, states really struggling with this.”

Israel under the Bus: Obama sides with Arabs and Islamic Using Netanyahu as an Excuse

The Pro Islamic Obama Administration has thrown Israel under the bus in favor of a pie in the sky friendship with Islamic nations that have no hope of being realized.  It’s as if the Administration believes that it need not respect the work of previous administration that were not as enlightened, worldly, narcissistic and socialist as the Obama Administration.  Barak Obama is an ideological, hyper-partisan socialist who has absorbed, and now personifies the Anti Semitic stains of leftist ideology, and now has the ability to act out his ideological ignorance on the world stage. The only guide Obama has is the baby-boom, civil rights, anti white, and anti male bigotry that kindly Americans figured the higher educational system would one day evolve beyond.  This is a system that makes the so called victims, Blacks, Women, Hispanics, Kids, Handicapped people to be more human and of greater worth than white males who supposedly oppress them. Ironically this hateful doctrine is referred to as “multiculturalism” and its infested all the nations schools.  This is the social equivalent of junk science like “global warming” and the famous “gay gene”.  In other words these are publically generated abuses of “science” to perpetuate falsehood aimed at legitimizing a political aim or policy that could not otherwise be justified.

The fact that Israel has been and probably will remain a great ally and friend of the United States can’t compete with the leftist inclination, complete with a European flair of sophistication, to blame the Jews for the worlds ills instead of the clearly insane Islamic who are simply out of control. Israel is a modern, successful, freedom loving democracy that deserves many times over our admiration and support.  Most Middle East Arab/Islamic countries are backwards nations that despise freedom, enslave women and children, and hold the lives of anyone who disagrees with their world view very cheaply indeed. While it’s appropriate for us to respect the fact that hostile and repressive governments and cultures do exist and we need to be civil with them: it’s insane to suggest that such inhumane backwaters of bigotry and oppression should ever be favored over a democracy.  Israel has rule of law and the Islamic nations have a form of Sharia law that justifies the enslavement of millions to say nothing of the murder of non Muslims.  At the end of the day we’re pretending that Islam has produced a civilization that’s of greater worth and commands more respect than Israel: and that’s simply not true.  Islam is more a state of barbaric despotism than a legitimate state.  We need not and should not respect Islam when it calls for the destruction of Israel or when it calls the USA the “great Satan”. To take the side of the Arab/ Islamic nations against Israel who has offered peace from the beginning in favor of bloodthirsty Islamic jerks who want to destroy every Jew in Israel just for being Jewish, as they have consistently proclaimed over six decades, is obscene.

I’ve been monitoring the realization of Obama’s betrayal in the Israeli press for some time now and they’re far ahead of the American People in realizing that Obama has withdrawn American support for this good and trusted friend.  The American press continues to promote the Islamic view even after decades of Israeli concessions and Moslem lies and broken agreements.  If Islam had treated the United States the way they do Israel we would have wiped them out decades ago because we don’t have anything approaching the patience of our friend Israel.  Nevertheless Obama has become the Islamic champion of American Foreign Policy because he gets as much applause from European audiences for denouncing Israel as he does for defaming the nation he’s supposed to be leading. The betrayal of Barak Husain Obama means that Israel has nothing left to lose and a mortal enemy with a nuke salivating over the chance to wipe them off the face of the earth.  Obama’s ideological nonsense has made war inevitable and he has hastened the day it will come by his treachery and contempt for our best Middle East Allie.

Consider the following story from the Debka File:

Clinton shreds Bush-Israel settlement understandings, fuels US-Israel row

DEBKAfile Special Analysis

June 6, 2009, 11:39 PM (GMT+02:00)

Gloves off, no more legalistic quibbling

US secretary of state Hillary Clinton roughly rejected any secret Bush agreements with Israel on expanding settlements. Her intention was to have the last word and so shut down the Obama administration’s argument with Israel over a West Bank settlement freeze. But she only threw fresh fuel on the fire when she stated emphatically on Friday, June 5, that according to the negotiating record which Bush officials turned over to the Obama administration, “There is no memorialization of any informal and oral agreements.”

Israel officials have protested that Barack Obama’s demand for a total freeze on settlement expansion contradicts a series of understandings – some written, some oral – with Bush officials which permitted expansion under certain conditions. This argument was put forward by prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu in his wide-ranging talks with the US president on May 18 and reaffirmed by Israeli officials when they met US Middle East envoy George Mitchell in London ten days later.

This key understanding referred to was reached in 2004: It provided for Israel’s voluntary evacuation of the Gaza Strip and the northern tip of the West Bank (which took place the following year) would be counter-balanced by Washington’s acceptance of the need for continuing construction in the large population blocks in other parts of West Bank territory to meet natural growth needs.

This understanding was reached by Bush’s national security adviser, Stephen Hadley and his deputy Elliott Abrams in talks with Israeli officials. Brig. Gen.

At their London meeting of May 28, Mike Herzog, defense minister Ehud Barak’s chief of staff, bore witness to Mitchell that he had led the Israeli team at the 2004 talks and that those talks had indeed ended with the two US NSC heads’ endorsement on behalf of the Bush administration of continued Israeli settlement construction to keep pace with the natural growth of those communities.

Elliott Abrams is quoted Friday by the Washington Post as acknowledging last week that there had been unwritten understandings between Washington and Jerusalem, as Brig. Herzog affirmed.

By repudiating any such understandings – written and spoken – Clinton has dragged US-Israeli relations into a new trough. It is now a straight issue of word against word, Washington versus Jerusalem’s. This is a dark point for restarting any peace process between Israel and Palestinians or other Arab governments for an accord on substantial issues which have defeated every past peace effort.

The “settlements” referred to by Obama in his demand for an end to all construction apply to five Israeli urban centers: its capital, Jerusalem, which the US does not recognize with or without its post-1967 extensions (although successive administrations have pledged to locate its embassy there), Maaleh Adummim just east of Jerusalem, Efrat to the south, Ariel to the north and Modiin Ilit, southeast of Tel Aviv.

Their total population is estimated between 250,000 and 300,000, plus isolated communities which are home to another approximate 180,000 Jewish inhabitants.

These figures do not include the unauthorized outposts over whose removal Israel is not arguing.

Abrams in an article he published on April 8 hinted that the passage in the 2004 Bush letter to Ariel Sharon – “It is realistic to expect that any final status agreement will only be achieved on the basis of mutually agreed changes that reflect these realities” – was an indirect recognition of demographic “changes” (in the Israeli and Palestinian populations over 42 years) and understanding for the “realities” applying to the large settlement blocks, meaning that Israel was entitled to continue their development.

However, DEBKAfile‘s Washington sources stress, Eliot Abrams has no standing in the new administration. Obama and his team will adopt or dump the understandings reached by his White House predecessors not according to archival evidence but according to whether or not they suit his new international policy directions over which Jerusalem is getting badly worried.

The Netanyahu government is now facing its first real test. In Washington, the gloves are off. If the prime minister holds to his defensive, accommodating posture toward on the settlement issue and fails to punch back with demands that the other side – and the United States itself stand by former accords and commitments – he will find himself inexorably forced back step by step on other vital security interests, including Iran’s accelerated nuclear weapons program.

Legalistic quibbling over dead letters will not avail – as Israeli officials will discover when confronted with new pressures for concessions from US envoy Mitchell next week.

Democrats Want to Mandate Vacations: Forcing Employers to Provide Paid Vacations Stimulates the Economy!

Well it had to happen sooner or later….  Now we have become France without the cute berets, the Eifel tower or the snooty food. (Trust me: French food and fussy sauces are overrated!)  Our Friends in France demand that employers provide 30 days of paid vacation for their workers, making the French economy the envy of the world, and now this government mandate for the workers to “unwind” may have infected the United States.  Yes, according to the Politico the Democrats are going to use government to force your employers to give you a certain amount of paid vacation.  Not for you.  Not so you can unwind.  It’s to stimulate the economy.

What’s wrong with this picture…. How does more government interference in the form of an unfunded mandate to every employer in the nation become an economic stimulus if it forces employers to cut way back on their work force?  Employees already cost a fortune and more government red tape and expenses on employing workers for already overtaxed businesses can only harm the economy.  Look at what government mandated vacations, sick leave and maternity benefits have done for the legendary productivity of France!

At a time when the nefarious Federal Reserve System is preparing to buy more American Debt, by printing more of our money… at a time when our creditors are forming new currency alliances with any nation who has a decent currency… at a time when China is buying the assets of the world with worthless American dollars and acquiring hard assets… At a time when China is becoming a military superpower every bit our equal: our Political Leaders want everyone to have a paid vacation.  Charming.

I have but one question.  How come we don’t get as much paid vacation as the French?  It almost makes me want to call a labor strike in the name of economic justice……

Consider the article below from the Politico and consider a world in which your health care, your vacations, your car, your insurance, your bank, and your ability to drink a coke; are all dependant on getting an OK from the government.

There’s something fundamentally immoral in allowing a government to make helpless, dependent, children of their citizens.  To be an adult is to carry responsibility in many forms but to deliberately abdicate adulthood in favor of a gilded cage of big government slavery has got to be a mortal sin.  God gave us our rights and our free will but he won’t stop us from giving control of our lives to Nancy Pelosi if that’s what we choose to do.  We’ve traded faith in God and faith in our family and friends for a false faith in Barak Obama and the Politics of Malignant Narcissism.

We confront staggering problems all around us as our political and economic institutions fail and all we can do is entertain the foolhardiness of socialist-democrat politicians peddling bad health care and unemployment disguised as government mandated paid vacations.

There was a time when adults realized that there’s no free lunch….  There’s just lunch that someone else pays for.  (Until the government runs out of other people’s money to bribe various groups out of their vote and their freedom)

May God Forgive us for our greed, and stupidity, and may the real Americans who haven’t been bought by the welfare state stand up and take this country back while there’s still time.

Congressman: We’re going to Disney
By: Erika Lovley
May 21, 2009 04:28 AM EST

FD HIDDEN DIV

Rep. Alan Grayson was standing in the middle of Disney World when it hit him: What Americans really need is a week of paid vacation.

So on Thursday, the Florida Democrat will introduce the Paid Vacation Act — legislation that would be the first to make paid vacation time a requirement under federal law.

The bill would require companies with more than 100 employees to offer a week of paid vacation for both full-time and part-time employees after they’ve put in a year on the job. Three years after the effective date of the law, those same companies would be required to provide two weeks of paid vacation, and companies with 50 or more employees would have to provide one week.

The idea: More vacation will stimulate the economy through fewer sick days, better productivity and happier employees.

“There’s a reason why Disney World is the happiest place on Earth: The people who go there are on vacation,” said Grayson, a freshman who counts Orlando as part of his home district. “Honestly, as much as I appreciate this job and as much as I enjoy it, the best days of my life are and always have been the days I’m on vacation.”

According to the Center for Economic and Policy Research, 28 million Americans — or about a quarter of the work force — don’t get any paid vacation. The center says that a lack of vacation causes stress and workplace burnout and that those evil twins cost the economy more than $300 billion each year.

One more if-you’re-reading-this-then-you’re-probably-not-on-vacation fact: The United States is dead last among 21 industrial countries when it comes to mandatory R&R.

France currently requires employers to provide 30 days of paid leave.

Not surprisingly, some in the travel industry are salivating over Grayson’s bill; Grayson spokesman Todd Jurkowski said the U.S. Tour Operators Association and the Adventure Travel Trade Association are both on board. Other tourism and labor groups are expected to sign on in the coming days.

The Politico 44 Story Widget Requires Adobe Flash Player.
The U.S. Travel Association has not yet endorsed the measure, but Senior Vice President Geoff Freeman says Congress does need to consider new ways to stimulate the vacation industry and travel economy.

So far, no group has come out in opposition of the bill. Nor has anyone announced opposition to roller coaster rides, cookouts on the beach or salt-water taffy on the boardwalk.

But with many Americans out of work and an economy in shambles, some say this may not be the best time to propose more time away from the office, especially on the boss’s dime.

The Society for Human Resource Management issued a statement Wednesday warning that “a one-size-fits-all, government-imposed mandate is not the answer.”

Because of the 50- and 100-employee thresholds, most small businesses wouldn’t be directly affected by the bill immediately. But the National Small Business Association warned of indirect consequences; companies might artificially hold their hiring at the 50-to-100-employee level to avoid the costs of paid vacation time.

The bill also could have a negative impact on manufacturers already bracing for higher costs that could be associated with the climate-change legislation working its way through the House.

One place where the bill wouldn’t have much of an effect: Capitol Hill.

Congressional staffers already get paid vacation, even if they don’t actually have time to take it. And members can take time off during recesses — as they will next week — albeit not as much as they once did.

While members once had much of the summer off, Congress will be in session this year virtually all of June and July. That leaves August, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) says that’s not really enough time to unwind.

“I’m off in the state for a full month catching up on all the things I’ve missed throughout the year, but you don’t have time for yourself,” she said. “You don’t have much time for your family. And after a while, you do start to get just tired.”

Grayson’s bill is part of a larger move by Democrats to improve employee and workplace standards. Earlier this month, Democrats introduced a bill that would make employers give mandatory sick time.

“The committee is looking at a number of proposals to help workers balance family responsibilities and work duties,” said House Education and Labor Committee spokesman Aaron Albright. “The fact is the United States is behind the rest of the world in ensuring that workplaces have paid leave policies. These policies not only benefit workers but also help the employers’ bottom line because of lower turnover and better job satisfaction.”

But in the workaholic world of Washington, not everyone is so impressed with the restorative — or stimulative — powers of time unplugged.

Asked Tuesday what he’d do with an extra week of paid vacation, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said: “I’d keep the cash and spend the week working on the farm, with my BlackBerry and office files.

The Golden State Nightmare: Massive Budget Cuts or Constitutional Chaos?

The Democrat-Socialist Workers Paradise of California has been run by Ideologues and Left Wing Extremists for decades and now they’re flat busted broke.  California has redundant programs that regulate an astonishing amount of minutia, on the one hand, or that outrageously and redundantly copy existing federal regulatory agencies on everything from the environment to civil rights programs on the other hand. California is dying from exorbitant pensions and labor laws reminiscent of the Unions that killed the Auto makers.  California has a corrupt democrat legislature that never cuts spending but only contuse to assault taxpayers creating a mass exodus of business and talent who simply won’t fork over the loot anymore. California thus throws away its tax base and expresses contempt for its pool of skilled workers. In this California resembles New Jersey and New York.  California is terrorized by environmental, “civil rights” and education lobbies; spouting hip socialist nonsense that only a tenured college professor could believe, while ignoring the fact that government cannot, and should not, solve all the ills of society.  In this they resemble the People’s Republic of Massachusetts who went broke over socialized medicine.  At the behest of surly, ungrateful, and arrogant Hispanic “Activists” California is giving away tons of benefits, from education, to health care, to housing, to illegal aliens because the businesses remaining in the state like slave labor and the Democrats like to buy votes.

Who’s going to pay the freight when the 5th or 8th largest economy on the planet, it depends on whose numbers you use, defaults?  California is bankrupt and their legislature is practically inoperable.  You need 2/3rd majority to cut anything and that’s hard to come by.  That’s the only thing the Democrat legislature did effectively is make sure that their spending could never be cut, perhaps not even in the event of a total collapse of the government.  California is what happens when Ideology and Identity Politics metastasize in a state making it impossible for the state to survive its addiction to socialist ideology over truth and common sense. California is dying fast, before our eyes, and the only solution left is for every other state to pay for California’s mistakes: and continue to fund those mistakes and even magnify them.  They want all the states who did it right to pay for the states, California first among them, who did it wrong.  They want you to pay for it.  They want to steal the money once again from the federal taxpayer because “California is too big to fail”. Sound familiar?

When the Obama Administration shreds what’s left of the Constitution of the United States and takes over California will Barak get to “fire” Arnold like he did the CEO of GM?  Does anyone believe that if the legislature deadlocks over massive budget cuts, as it has done in the past, that Obama will let the states government shut down? No courts, no jails, no cops, no parks, no state services with just the California National Guard to step in and try to run the bureaucratic labyrinth that is California?  Forget selling San Quentin: is the Terminator going to have to run the prison and cook the meals all by himself?  (Maria would help but she might be busy having her hair done)

The voters have told the state “NO” on new confiscatory taxation.  The legislature is populated by hard line socialist-democrats with legions of pet projects, and you need 2/3’s of them to agree to cut a nickel from the budget: they may not be able to avoid a crash.  What happens when a modern American state goes completely off the rails and the political, as well as the financial system, totally fails?  What happens to the constitution if the United States Government destroys more tax dollars in an illegal and immoral attempt to save California? Is there any such thing as states’ rights when state government fails and cant govern itself?  What happens if the state can’t pay its bills, if the legislature is deadlocked and the government becomes unworkable?  Can a state or Federal bankruptcy judge step in as a “special Master” and make all the decisions on spending cuts that the political system was unable to do?  Under what legal authority would that occur?

Does anyone doubt that Obama will rescue California and essentially assume command of the state under some kind of emergency powers: and thereby do to the United States exactly what California did to itself by making Kansas pay for California pensions, educational and civil rights bureaucracy while we all go down the socialist drain?

If you thought the mortgage and financial meltdown was fun last summer; just wait for this summer when the great Democrat State Meltdown kicks off with California leading the way!  Here’s the punch line:  EVERYTHING THAT’S WRONG WITH CALIFORNIA IS EXACTLY THE POLLICY POSSITION OUR PRESIDENT, BARAK OBAMA, STANDS FOR!!!!!!   What taxpayer money giant banks, insurance companies and unions didn’t steal from our children’s future will be stolen by the Neo-Socialist Democrat Party as the states they control swallow up what remains of federal tax dollars.  Between big business corruption, and giant government corruption: our entire system of government is hanging by a thread and the only one who can save us is Comrade Obama, Comrade Pelosi, and the Terminator!

Did you think last summer was fun?  You ain’t seen nothing yet!

Schwarzenegger’s Pro-tax Ballot Goes Down in Flames

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 7:00 AM

LOS ANGELES — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to permanently fix California’s “broken budget system.” But three times now he has tried and failed to smooth out the state’s roller coaster revenues.

Voters on Tuesday resoundingly rejected his latest effort, a package of budget-balancing measures that he promised would provide a short-term patch for the current financial crisis and prevent further catastrophe in the future.

Instead, he now faces a $21.3 billion budget deficit and a budget system that has not changed a bit since he took office nearly six years ago.

“I think he’s discovered that this job is a lot harder than he anticipated in a state of economic downturn,” Treasurer Bill Lockyer said Tuesday of the governor who came into office in 2003 promising to “end the crazy deficit spending.”

The Republican governor faces another tough round of budget negotiations after months spent haggling with lawmakers to close the state’s first budget shortfall, which was initially $42 billion through June 2010.

Schwarzenegger will be forced to spend much of his final year-and-a-half in office struggling with the same financial woes that led to the recall of his predecessor instead of enacting the sweeping policy changes he once envisioned.

“The biggest loser would be Arnold,” said Dave McCuan, a political science professor at Sonoma State University. “It’s time to start looking for a cabinet post in the Obama administration or an ambassadorship someplace warm.”

Lockyer said Schwarzenegger and lawmakers will have to reach a new budget agreement quickly, with tax revenue coming in far below projections. Unless a compromise is struck by the end of June, the state could have trouble paying its bills by the end of July.

Political observers say Schwarzenegger and lawmakers will have little choice but to go after even politically sacred programs such as schools. An unusually high two-thirds vote threshold in the Legislature for passing budgets and partisan polarization could combine for a painful summer.

“The choices facing the governor and Legislature are daunting,” said Jack Pitney, a political science professor at Claremont McKenna College in Southern California. “Democrats have taken heat for accepting spending cuts. Certain Republicans have taken heat for accepting tax increases, and the heat’s only going to get more intense this summer.”

Many Californians have been hearing about the state’s budget problems but have yet to feel the severity of the crisis. That will soon change, Pitney said.

“For a lot of people, the budget’s been an abstraction. But with the next round, there will probably be serious consequences, particularly in the schools,” Pitney said.

Last week, the governor said he will consider shortening the school year by seven days, laying off up to 5,000 state employees and taking money from local governments, which likely would translate into cuts to police and firefighting services.

Tens of thousands of teachers also face the prospect of layoffs.

Schwarzenegger’s warning did not sway voters, many of whom said they did not trust that the ballot propositions would do much to solve California’s budget trouble.

The majority of registered voters didn’t bother to vote at all. Partial results from nearly 70 percent of precincts reporting late Tuesday showed only 19 percent of voters had cast a ballot, according to the secretary of state’s office.

Chris Almanza, 55, of Sacramento was among those who chose not to vote, in part because she was angry and frustrated at state lawmakers.

“I’m not going to vote because I don’t think it’s going to matter,” Almanza said.

The governor had particularly championed Proposition 1A, which would have created a stronger rainy day fund for troubled times and capped state spending, while extending a series of tax increases lawmakers approved in February. Those taxes would have brought in about $16 billion to state coffers in future years.

Proposition 1A also was crucial to solving many of the budget problems Schwarzenegger has had to confront in office and help him carve out a legacy for himself.

He reiterated Tuesday that he wanted to be remembered as a fighter for budget reform and said he wouldn’t be dissuaded by the overwhelming repudiation from voters.

“I have been working to accomplish this kind of reform since I was elected in 2003 and I will keep working toward it because we cannot allow this harmful and out-of-control budget process to continue,” Schwarzenegger said in a concession statement late Tuesday.

The governor planned to return Wednesday from Washington, D.C., where he spent Election Day, to start discussing the grim options with legislative leaders.

Obama’s Loyalty to Unions is Absolute: Organized Labor in the Catbird Seat

California is teetering on the cliff of catastrophic financial failure but Barak Obama is determined to protect union wages in California no matter the cost.  California will be out of money in July and the Federal Government has advised the governor that they will not give California $6.8 billion in “Stimulus Money” unless California rescinds the $74 million dollar cut they made to unionized home health care workers. I’m sure Obama is taking this action because he believes its right and not because expansion and control of unions benefits the neo socialist democrat party.  The fact that Unions have destroyed everything they touch from car makers to education to government is rejected by the Obama brain trust as they demand utopian fiscal policy from a bankrupt state.

The fact that California was able to make such a cut in the first place is a miracle and well illustrates the desperation of their predicament.  Doubtless the Mainstream Media will praise Obama for his political courage in standing up for corrupt unions over a failed socialist state whose final bankruptcy will destroy the nations, and the worlds, economy. Why let facts stand in the way of political correctness, ideological rigidity, and moral bankruptcy?  California, like the United States itself, is a testament to the failure of big, socialist government and the elevation of a cult of personality over mere logic, reason and the timeless conventions of Western reason.  Whatever hope creditors of the Golden State may have had in cutting crazy union wages and contracts was dashed for good when Comrade Obama took this courageous stand for the reinstatement of corruption, greed and abject stupidity.

U.S. threatens to rescind stimulus money over wage cuts

The Obama administration threatens to rescind billions in stimulus money if Gov. Schwarzenegger and lawmakers do not restore wage cuts to unionized home healthcare workers.

By Evan Halper

Reporting from Sacramento — The Obama administration is threatening to rescind billions of dollars in federal stimulus money if Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and state lawmakers do not restore wage cuts to unionized home healthcare workers approved in February as part of the budget.

Schwarzenegger’s office was advised this week by federal health officials that the wage reduction, which will save California $74 million, violates provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Failure to revoke the scheduled wage cut before it takes effect July 1 could cost California $6.8 billion in stimulus money, according to state officials.

The news comes as state lawmakers are already facing a severe cash crisis, with the state at risk of running out of money in July.

The wages at issue involve workers who care for some 440,000 low-income disabled and elderly Californians. The workers, who collectively contribute millions of dollars in dues each month to the influential Service Employees International Union and the United Domestic Workers, will see the state’s contribution to their wages cut from a maximum of $12.10 per hour to a maximum of $10.10.

The SEIU said in a statement that it had asked the Obama administration for the ruling.

The cut was highly contentious during last winter’s budget talks. Republican lawmakers insisted that the rapidly growing, multibillion-dollar state program, In Home Supportive Services, be scaled back significantly.

Democrats fought major reductions in the program, which they say is a cost-effective alternative to nursing-home care, but ultimately compromised.

Reversing the wage cut would require a two-thirds vote of the Legislature, meaning Republican support would be needed.

Schwarzenegger on Wednesday sent U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius a letter urging the federal government to reconsider.

“Neither the Legislature nor I make decisions to reduce wages or benefits lightly, but only as a last resort in response to an unprecedented fiscal crisis,” Schwarzenegger wrote.
