Obama Advances Baby Boom Criminals: Liberal Terrorism is Excusable if it’s for a Politically Correct Cause

 

 

This must be Obama’s idea of how to show respect for rule of law.  So as I understand it; the Green Czar is a former terrorist Dirt-Bag, serving in an unconstitutional role, designed to circumvent congressional approval and the constitution.  The Cabinet is approved by the Senate but Czars are created with an imperial wave of the Obama arm. Here is a man who would do anything for his liberal masters, by any means necessary, because the liberal cause is clearly his whole world.  You know, like Hitler appointing Nazi fanatics to corrupt and use the machinery of government to advance his sickening fascist agenda.  I wonder if Janet Napolitano (the director of Homeland Security) would put Van Jones on a potential terrorist list like they do Christians, Veterans and Legal gun owners.

JERUSALEM – Van Jones, the man appointed as “green jobs czar” to the White House, previously served on the board of an environmental activist group at which a founder of the Weather Underground terrorist organization is a top director.

WND previously reported Jones was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.

He was appointed to serve as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. According to the White House blog, Jones’ duties include helping to craft job-generating climate policy and to ensure equal opportunity in the administration’s energy proposals.

Jones, formerly a self-described “rowdy black nationalist,” boasted in a 2005 interview with the left-leaning East Bay Express that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class “justice.”

Jones was president and founder of Green For All, a nonprofit organization that advocates for building a so-called inclusive green economy.

Until recently, Jones was a longtime member of the board of Apollo Alliance, a coalition of labor, business, environmental and community leaders that claims on its website to be “working to catalyze a clean energy revolution that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality, green-collar jobs.”

Although influential, Apollo has only 14 state affiliates nationwide. Its New York office is directed by Jeff Jones, a top founding member of the Weather Underground radical organization.

Jeff Jones’ bio on the Apollo website boasts the activist campaigned to remove PCBs from the Hudson River, clean up toxic pollution in inner-city and rural neighborhoods, and reverse global warming.

The bio states that from 1995-2005, Jeff Jones served as the communications director of Environmental Advocates of New York. Previously, he was a reporter covering state politics and policy for a variety of news organizations.

Not mentioned is that Jeff Jones was a leading anti-war activist and terrorist group founder who spent time on the run from law enforcement agencies while his group carried out a series of bombings of U.S. government buildings.

Jeff Jones joined the Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, from which the Weathermen splintered in the fall of 1965. Two years later, he became the SDS’s New York City regional director, a position in which he participated in nearly all of the group’s major protests until 1969, including the 1968 Columbia University protests and the violent riots that same year at the Democratic National Convention.

In 1969, Jeff Jones founded the Weathermen with terrorists Bill Ayers and Mark Rudd when the three signed an infamous statement calling for a revolution against the American government inside and outside the country to fight and defeat what the group called U.S. imperialism. President Obama came under fire for his longtime, extensive association with Ayers.

Jeff Jones was a main leader and orchestrator of what became known as the Days of Rage, a series of violent riots in Chicago organized by the Weathermen. The culmination of the riots came when he gave a signal for rowdy protestors to target a hotel that was the home of a local judge presiding over a trial of anti-war activists.

Jeff Jones went underground after he failed to appear for a March 1970 court date to face charges of “crossing state lines to foment a riot and conspiring to do so.” He moved to San Francisco with Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dorhn. That year, at least one bombing claimed by the Weathermen went off in Jones’ locale at the Presidio Army base.

Jones’ Weathermen would take credit for multiple bombings of U.S. government buildings, including attacks against the U.S. Capitol March 1, 1971; the Pentagon May 19, 1972, and a 1975 bombing of the State Department building.

Jeff Jones did not return WND phone and e-mail requests for comment.

White House adviser Van Jones, meanwhile, is not impartial to radical activism.

He was a founder and leader of the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. The organization had its roots in a grouping of black people organizing to protest the first Gulf War. STORM was formally founded in 1994, becoming one of the most influential and active radical groups in the San Francisco Bay area.

STORM worked with known communist leaders. It led the charge in black protests against various issues, including a local attempt to pass Proposition 21, a ballot initiative that sought to increase the penalties for violent crimes and require more juvenile offenders to be tried as adults.

The leftist blog Machete 48 identifies STORM’s influences as “third-worldist Marxism (and an often vulgar Maoism).”

Speaking to the East Bay Express, Van Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested.

“I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”

“I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’ I spent the next 10 years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary,” he said.

Trevor Loudon, a communist researcher and administrator of the New Zeal blog, identified several Bay Area communists who worked with STORM, including Elizabeth Martinez, who helped advise Jones’ Ella Baker Human Rights Center, which Jones founded to advocate civil justice. Jones and Martinez also attended a “Challenging White Supremacy” workshop together.

Martinez was a long time Maoist who went on to join the Communist Party USA breakaway organization Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, or CCDS, in the early 1990s, according to Loudon. Martinez still serves on the CCDS council and is also a board member of the Movement for a Democratic Society, where she sits alongside former Weathermen radicals Ayers and Dorhn.

One of STORM’s newsletters featured a tribute to Amilcar Cabral, the late Marxist revolutionary leader of Guinea-Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands.

The tribute is noteworthy because Jones reportedly named his son after Cabral and reportedly concludes every e-mail with a quote from the communist leader.

STORM eventually fell apart amid bickering among its leaders.

Van Jones then moved on to environmentalism. He used his Ella Baker Center to advocate “inclusive” environmentalism and launch a Green-Collar Jobs Campaign, which led to the nation’s first Green Jobs Corps in Oakland, Calif.

At the Clinton Global Initiative in 2007, Jones announced the establishment of Green For All, an activist organization which in 2008 held a national green conference in which most attendees were black. Jones also released a book, “The Green Collar Economy,” which debuted at No.12 on the New York Times’ bestseller list – the first environmental book written by an African American to make the list.

His appointment as a White House environmental adviser was announced March 10.

Below is an article from Pravda that I found on the Drudge Report.  It’s a sad sorry day for America when the Russian Newspaper Pravda is more accurate and insightful on events in the United States of America than any of our news agencies.  I’ve read this article several times and each time it has the impact of a slap in the face, in your face, brutally truthful, gleefully irreverent evaluation of how far we’ve fallen.  It’s absent any hint of political correctness and if it wasn’t so vindictive it would remind me of how, back in the day, we used to speak frankly about the events in our country when we still had free speech.

The America I knew is gone.  The article below rubs my American nose in that painful reality and I would like to thank its author and even Pravda for an amazing offensive wakeup call that everyone in America needs to heed.  We’ve gotten so full of ourselves that we’re unable to respond to constructive criticism and the traditional values (Pre baby boom values) that made us a great nation.  Perhaps the gleeful break with any semblance of political correctness below is pointing the way toward taking the country back.  Political correctness and truth simply can’t co-exist because Political correctness is about control of voting blocs while the truth of America is supposed to be about freedom and individual liberty. Freedom is mutually exclusive of political control, and identity politics, and the more this PC crap is tolerated the more freedom we lose until we wake up in a Fascist nation with Barak Obama as our new Ill Duce.

The point where the article below may be getting it wrong is that it contends we’re falling into socialism while I’m not ready to commit to that.  We may well be into a fascism where control of the state and the financial  and industrial assets form a new fascism for the twenty-first century. We may fall into the stupor of socialist drones or we may end up goose-stepping into a new age where we will indeed trade our white hats for black ones and allow the elites of banking and government to rule western culture.

One thing is certain: the America I knew is already gone and a bloodless takeover by either neo socialists or neo fascists is already well underway.  The American political system has become so corrupt that it’s now the oppressor of the citizens it was intended to serve.  Half the nation pays no taxes and half the nation seems to think our Black Ill Duce, Barak Obama, is some kind of heaven sent messiah showing us the way to the Promised Land of absolute equality in misery and abject poverty or economic and moral servitude. Barak Obama, the product of baby boom social engineering and its “victory” over racism seems to be the means by which we lose the last of our freedom and enter into the tyranny of financial and political oligarchs.

American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Democrats Want to Mandate Vacations: Forcing Employers to Provide Paid Vacations Stimulates the Economy!

 

 

 

Well it had to happen sooner or later….  Now we have become France without the cute berets, the Eifel tower or the snooty food. (Trust me: French food and fussy sauces are overrated!)  Our Friends in France demand that employers provide 30 days of paid vacation for their workers, making the French economy the envy of the world, and now this government mandate for the workers to “unwind” may have infected the United States.  Yes, according to the Politico the Democrats are going to use government to force your employers to give you a certain amount of paid vacation.  Not for you.  Not so you can unwind.  It’s to stimulate the economy.

What’s wrong with this picture…. How does more government interference in the form of an unfunded mandate to every employer in the nation become an economic stimulus if it forces employers to cut way back on their work force?  Employees already cost a fortune and more government red tape and expenses on employing workers for already overtaxed businesses can only harm the economy.  Look at what government mandated vacations, sick leave and maternity benefits have done for the legendary productivity of France!

At a time when the nefarious Federal Reserve System is preparing to buy more American Debt, by printing more of our money… at a time when our creditors are forming new currency alliances with any nation who has a decent currency… at a time when China is buying the assets of the world with worthless American dollars and acquiring hard assets… At a time when China is becoming a military superpower every bit our equal: our Political Leaders want everyone to have a paid vacation.  Charming.

I have but one question.  How come we don’t get as much paid vacation as the French?  It almost makes me want to call a labor strike in the name of economic justice……

Consider the article below from the Politico and consider a world in which your health care, your vacations, your car, your insurance, your bank, and your ability to drink a coke; are all dependant on getting an OK from the government.

There’s something fundamentally immoral in allowing a government to make helpless, dependent, children of their citizens.  To be an adult is to carry responsibility in many forms but to deliberately abdicate adulthood in favor of a gilded cage of big government slavery has got to be a mortal sin.  God gave us our rights and our free will but he won’t stop us from giving control of our lives to Nancy Pelosi if that’s what we choose to do.  We’ve traded faith in God and faith in our family and friends for a false faith in Barak Obama and the Politics of Malignant Narcissism. 

We confront staggering problems all around us as our political and economic institutions fail and all we can do is entertain the foolhardiness of socialist-democrat politicians peddling bad health care and unemployment disguised as government mandated paid vacations.

There was a time when adults realized that there’s no free lunch….  There’s just lunch that someone else pays for.  (Until the government runs out of other people’s money to bribe various groups out of their vote and their freedom)

May God Forgive us for our greed, and stupidity, and may the real Americans who haven’t been bought by the welfare state stand up and take this country back while there’s still time.

Rep. Alan Grayson was standing in the middle of Disney World when it hit him: What Americans really need is a week of paid vacation. So on Thursday, the Florida Democrat will introduce the Paid Vacation Act — legislation that would be the first to make paid vacation time a requirement under federal law. The bill would require companies with more than 100 employees to offer a week of paid vacation for both full-time and part-time employees after they’ve put in a year on the job. Three years after the effective date of the law, those same companies would be required to provide two weeks of paid vacation, and companies with 50 or more employees would have to provide one week. The idea: More vacation will stimulate the economy through fewer sick days, better productivity and happier employees. “There’s a reason why Disney World is the happiest place on Earth: The people who go there are on vacation,” said Grayson, a freshman who counts Orlando as part of his home district. “Honestly, as much as I appreciate this job and as much as I enjoy it, the best days of my life are and always have been the days I’m on vacation.” According to the Center for Economic and Policy Research, 28 million Americans — or about a quarter of the work force — don’t get any paid vacation. The center says that a lack of vacation causes stress and workplace burnout and that those evil twins cost the economy more than $300 billion each year. One more if-you’re-reading-this-then-you’re-probably-not-on-vacation fact: The United States is dead last among 21 industrial countries when it comes to mandatory R&R. France currently requires employers to provide 30 days of paid leave. Not surprisingly, some in the travel industry are salivating over Grayson’s bill; Grayson spokesman Todd Jurkowski said the U.S. Tour Operators Association and the Adventure Travel Trade Association are both on board. Other tourism and labor groups are expected to sign on in the coming days. The U.S. Travel Association has not yet endorsed the measure, but Senior Vice President Geoff Freeman says Congress does need to consider new ways to stimulate the vacation industry and travel economy.  So far, no group has come out in opposition of the bill. Nor has anyone announced opposition to roller coaster rides, cookouts on the beach or salt-water taffy on the boardwalk.   But with many Americans out of work and an economy in shambles, some say this may not be the best time to propose more time away from the office, especially on the boss’s dime. The Society for Human Resource Management issued a statement Wednesday warning that “a one-size-fits-all, government-imposed mandate is not the answer.” Because of the 50- and 100-employee thresholds, most small businesses wouldn’t be directly affected by the bill immediately. But the National Small Business Association warned of indirect consequences; companies might artificially hold their hiring at the 50-to-100-employee level to avoid the costs of paid vacation time. The bill also could have a negative impact on manufacturers already bracing for higher costs that could be associated with the climate-change legislation working its way through the House. One place where the bill wouldn’t have much of an effect: Capitol Hill. Congressional staffers already get paid vacation, even if they don’t actually have time to take it. And members can take time off during recesses — as they will next week — albeit not as much as they once did. While members once had much of the summer off, Congress will be in session this year virtually all of June and July. That leaves August, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) says that’s not really enough time to unwind. “I’m off in the state for a full month catching up on all the things I’ve missed throughout the year, but you don’t have time for yourself,” she said. “You don’t have much time for your family. And after a while, you do start to get just tired.” Grayson’s bill is part of a larger move by Democrats to improve employee and workplace standards. Earlier this month, Democrats introduced a bill that would make employers give mandatory sick time. “The committee is looking at a number of proposals to help workers balance family responsibilities and work duties,” said House Education and Labor Committee spokesman Aaron Albright. “The fact is the United States is behind the rest of the world in ensuring that workplaces have paid leave policies. These policies not only benefit workers but also help the employers’ bottom line because of lower turnover and better job satisfaction.” But in the workaholic world of Washington, not everyone is so impressed with the restorative — or stimulative — powers of time unplugged. Asked Tuesday what he’d do with an extra week of paid vacation, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said: “I’d keep the cash and spend the week working on the farm, with my BlackBerry and office files.

Impressions from Barak Obama’s First Hundred Days: Will the US be Recognizable after Another Hundred?

 

Barak Obama is notable for his complete contempt for the law and the constitution.  Mr. Obama is first and foremost an American Lawyer of the early twenty-first century and his first instinct is to say whatever will win his case, with any given audience, and his second impulse is to circumvent the law to suit his wishes.  Mr. Obama has shown a marked love of crisis and is not above using crisis to completely exclude a proper legislative process and ram through pet projects having nothing to do with the crisis. No debate, no reflection, no consideration for our history, tradition or our most cherished beliefs; just the crisis of the moment and the demand for a given program lest the USA crash and burn.  This is not a democracy— This is the stuff of Mussolini’s fascist Italy.  There are many examples of his treating the law as an inconvenience when he doesn’t like what it says.

Mr. Obama wants his own cabinet without having congress confirm his real advisors.  He appoints political hacks to go through the confirmation process while appointing a staggering number of “czars” to run the real policy and undermine the entrenched bureaucracy.  The Czars report to Obama, who reins in the given cabinet secretary, and replaces an entire federal department with one unconfirmed loyalist. No kitchen cabinet in history has been as extensive or as powerful as the one cobbled together by Obama. The confirmation of Cabinet Secretaries has been a complete sham and has effectively cheated the Senate of its constitutional roll to advice and consent. 

Mr. Obama has shown a willingness to rule almost exclusively by fear.  Under the mantra of “Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste” he’s completely undermined the legislative branch by ramming through spending programs and “stimulus” that has the power to destroy the dollar and our economy.  This was rammed through an incompetent and compliant congress in giving over the fate of the republic to a boy Treasury Secretary with little or no oversight and an unlimited credit line. The congress is following the President in believing that they can spend us out of a “debt caused mess” by adding more debt.  The democrats are enacting legislation without reading it, and voting astounding sums of money for Universal Health Care that we don’t have a plan for, nor has it been debated.  The fear of economic disaster is being used to enact one gigantic socialist program after the other with staggering long term ramifications for economic growth and government credibility.

Mr. Obama has exhibited an astonishing hubris in destroying the free market economy we enjoyed by nationalizing banks and automobile manufacturing.  Mr. Obama has the government holding the note for over half the mortgages in America. For his next hostile takeover by virtue of a “crisis” he’ll certainly socialize medicine perhaps by the end of the year.  The government who can print its own money and still can’t manage to stay solvent is lecturing American Corporations and entrepreneurs about salary caps, ethical conduct, and efficiency when the government has a dismal record of abject failure at running anything besides a war.  Barak Obama is clearly after complete control of banking because he won’t let horrified banks give the government its money back.  Obama want control of the banks because he can than dictate who does, and does not, get financing in our economy according to his whim: or by his version of political correctness.  Now under Obama the Government is becoming more and more like God everyday and its power grows exponentially at the expense of our freedom.  We’re paying off the automakers retiree’s, even if they go bankrupt, and we’ve all gone from citizens of the United States to employees of Obama’s Socialist States of America. Obama is the greatest champion the unions ever had and its no wonder they contribute to his campaigns and work the streets for him. Obama’s congress has reneged on any middle class tax cuts and the wave of confiscatory taxation they’re about to unleash will destroy federal revenues and our economy.  Obama’s tax policy makes government the enemy for anyone who craves success in life. Obama has changed the country from free market economics to socialist economics and the process is gaining speed.

Mr. Obama has promised that lobbyists would not be working in his administration and yet has issued so many wavers for lobbyists they don’t talk about that promise much anymore.  Mr. Obama has had terrible trouble finding enough democrats, who actually pay their taxes, to serve in the sham cabinet that’s approved by the senate.  Mr. Obama makes a great show of vetting the candidates who want to serve in his administration with an economic proctoscope to the point where they’re critically understaffed. The Tax Cheating Boy Secretary of the Treasury has no staff because the vetting process is so over the top intrusive that most candidates find it’s not worth serving if one must have his personal life dissected.  The nation just got a Secretary of Health and Human Services thanks to the Pandemic causing everyone to drop their objections!  Obama has this public show of having great standards but he gets people through the process by cheating, or evading, or stampeding, the democratic possess and ignoring the constitution.

Mr. Obama has made a mockery of American Foreign Policy and has created in our enemies an expectation that we’ll be weak and ineffectual in defending our interests just as Jimmy Carter was in the late seventies.  Obama has been called “weak and naïve” by the President of France, he’s been made a fool of by Hugo Chavez, he’s kissed up to Syria and Iran and bowed low to the King of Saudi Arabia.  Obama’s total failure to grasp Middle East Politics has forced Israel into a war against Iran that could have dire consequences on our economy and that of the world as well.  Obama makes a show of apologizing and criticizing both the United States and Israel whenever he goes abroad, to the cheers of our enemies, and the exasperation of the people he’s supposed to be representing.  Obama is an Anti-American, American President and the world loves the absurd sideshow of Obama whipping the American culture he seems to despise even as he pretends to lead us.  Obama is a creature of the American Educational system run amok and may well be the fall guy when our middle class is gone and most of us enjoy the standard of living expected by an “untouchable” pavement dweller in Calcutta.  The Chinese are in massive arms buildup; North Korea is shooting of missiles like it’s the Fourth of July and now threatens another nuclear test. The Russians hold Obama in contempt: and the Chinese have grown bold in testing our navy, cyber security, and economic security even as they are in the midst of the greatest military buildup in history.  The few close allies we have like the United Kingdom and Israel are treated rudely in public and minimized by Obama who’s apparently only civil to sworn blood enemies and rouge nations.  Obama’s alienation of Israel may have disastrous consequences in the coming regional war when Israel is forced to take out Iran’s nuclear program.

Mr. Obama has distracted the American People, in the current Swine Flu Crisis, from the fact that few of the key players we need are in place, from the Secretary of Health and Human Services to the director of the CDC; with a flurry of activity and political theater in which not one single American has died. There’s been a whole lot of hype about an event that will doubtless be labeled a Pandemic but as far as the United States is concerned it’s a pretty tame pandemic.  You would think the world was ending with the alarm being generated but the only person in America to die was a Mexican trying to get American Health Care for his baby. If this flu is naturally occurring, or was cooked up in a third world lab it seems to me to be “fizzling out”.  THAT MAY NOT BE THE CASE: BUT AT THIS TIME IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A MILD FLU RATHER THAN THE END OF THE WORLD REQUIRING ANOTHER BILLION BUCKS FROM THE TAX PAYERS.  Time will tell if the Obama Administration is being truthful with us in proclaiming that the current outbreak was not in fact a terror attack.  (The Obama Administration doesn’t have terror attacks: they’re the victims of “Man Caused Disasters”) 

Mr. Obama has shown himself to be such a citizen of the world that he’s apparently quite willing to sign foreign treaties to force his desired outcome to destroy our right to arms, freedom of speech, parental rights and to pass massive carbon tax increases further penalizing production in this country. Law is fine if it agrees with Obama but when it doesn’t he just might enter into a “treaty” that would require the government to confiscate our guns, criminalize Christianity with hate crimes laws, and delegate to the state how we discipline our kids.  And this is just for starters folks.  If Obama can’t get what he wants in the constitution he goes around the constitution with a foreign treaty that would effectively nullify constitutional rights and safeguards.  Obama wants to have lots of other nations, and the United Nations, have a say in American Law and define our rights as coming from politicians rather than God.  Internationalism is the key to the destruction of American Sovereignty by claiming that our constitution is outdated and that law “evolves” and that law “evolving” in Washington DC is no better or worse than law “evolving” in Timbuktu.  Indeed if Timbuktu has a law deemed more “with it” than what we have we should adopt it!  By this reasoning no guns in London or Paris would require no guns in any US cities. Obama and his fellow travelers have no regard for law or the constitution and instead of acting to defend the constitution, as his oath requires; he instead acts to subvert the constitution at every opportunity.  This is not the mark of an American President but of Benito Mussolini and it bodes ill for the future.

Will we survive another hundred days with Barak Obama at the helm?  Sure. (But we’re likely to live to regret it.)

Democrat Party Witch Hunt Destroys American Intelligence: Democrat Ideology Neuters CIA

 

 

Why would any sane intelligence officer stick his neck out for an Obama Administration that will destroy them without hesitation, in a fit of ideological pique, while simultaneously publishing how our intelligence agencies work and how far they’ll go?  This is the way it was before the Twin Towers were destroyed on September 11^th and we’re right back to where we started.  Barak Obama seems determined to destroy all our covert and intelligence forces, which have kept us safe all these years, for reasons that just don’t ring true.  Why would the president of the United States deliberately blind our nation, in a dangerous world, when he is the one man charged with defending us and with knowing what our enemies are up too?  Obama has literally gouged our nation’s eyes out! Who is Barak Obama working for anyway?  First Obama releases memos that damage our national security and omit the fact that the interrogations worked and have been a key element of keeping us safe: and now he wants to release pictures of the interrogations?

I can’t imagine any CIA person ever sticking their neck out for this administration.  I can’t imagine any banker, automobile CEO, or Fannie Mae executive doing anything other than covering their ass where the government is involved.  The witch-hunt mentality of Mr. Obama means that we’re not working the problems any more; we’ve got our guys worrying about how they look, and their potential liability, regarding the administration.  No one takes any risks or strives for excellence in a socialist regime; they put in their time and play politics rather than building a better car, running a better bank, or risking their butts, getting critical information for a political regime that despises them.  This is not rocket science folks, this is so mind-blowingly-stupid behavior on the part of Barak Obama that it’s practically, if not morally, a volitional violation of his oath of office.

You don’t demonstrate American Good Will to other nations by making the country blind and defenseless.  You don’t advertise how we spy on others, how we interrogate terrorists, or criminalize policy differences between presidential advisors for craven political and momentary gain.  If anyone gets off a major attack on this nation maybe we should have trials for the entire Obama Administration and the Democrat Leadership of both houses of congress?  If we’re going to have witch hunts lets have real ones and kick the socialists out of power for good.

 We don’t know the ultimate price our nation will pay for this stupidity, if not sedition, on Obama’s part; but we know that such prices are usually paid in the blood of our citizens and armed forces.  In the corrupt mainstream media they’re getting ready to canonize Barak the Beneficent for his performance in his first hundred days but any rational observer of Obama’s actions would call for impeachment hearings on many different grounds. Barak Obama is essentially an anti American “internationalist” president and he’s on track to be the biggest mistake the electorate has made in our history.

Obama Administration to Release Detainee Abuse Photos; Former CIA Official Says Former Colleagues ‘Don’t Believe They Have Cover Anymore’

In a letter from the Justice Department to a federal judge yesterday, the Obama administration announced that the Pentagon would turn over to the American Civil Liberties Union 44 photographs showing detainee abuse of prisoners in Afghanistan and Iraq during the Bush administration.

The photographs are part of a 2003 Freedom of Information Act request by the ACLU for all information relating to the treatment of detainees — the same battle that led, last week, to President Obama’s decision to release memos from the Bush Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel providing legal justifications for harsh interrogation methods that human rights groups call torture.

Courts had ruled against the Bush administration’s attempts to keep the photographs from public view. ACLU attorney Amrit Singh tells ABC News that “the fact that the Obama administration opted not to seek further review is a sign that it is committed to more transparency.”

Singh added that the photographs “only underscore the need for a criminal investigation and prosecution if warranted” of U.S. officials responsible for the harsh treatment of detainees.

But some experts say the move could have a chilling effect on the CIA even beyond President Obama’s decision last week to release the so-called “torture memos.”

Calling the ACLU push to release the photographs “prurient” and “reprehensible,” Dr. Mark M. Lowenthal, former Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Analysis and Production, tells ABC News that the Obama administration should have taken the case all the way to the Supreme Court.

“They should have fought it all the way; if they lost, they lost,” Lowenthal said. “There’s nothing to be gained from it. There’s no substantive reason why those photos have to be released.”

Lowenthal said the president’s moves in the last week have left many in the CIA dispirited, based on “the undercurrent I’ve been getting from colleagues still in the building, or colleagues who have left not that long ago.”

“We ask these people to do extremely dangerous things, things they’ve been ordered to do by legal authorities, with the understanding that they will get top cover if something goes wrong,” Lowenthal says. “They don’t believe they have that cover anymore.” Releasing the photographs “will make it much worse,” he said.

Even though President Obama has announced that the Justice Department will not prosecute CIA officers who were operating within the four corners of what they’d been told was the law, Lowenthal says members of the CIA are worried. “They feel exposed already, and this is going to increase drumbeat for an investigation or a commission” to explore detainee treatment during the Bush years, he said. “It’s going to make it much harder to resist, and they fear they’re then going to be thrown over.”

The Bush administration argued that releasing these photographs would violate US obligations towards detainees and would prompt outrage and perhaps attacks against the U.S. On June 9 and June 21, 2006 judges directed the Bush administration to release 21 photographs depicting the treatment of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan, and last September, the Second Circuit Court affirmed that decision.

The Bush administration had argued that an exemption from FOIA was needed here because of the exemption for law enforcement records that could reasonably be expected to endanger “any individual.” The release of the disputed photographs, the Bush administration argued, will endanger United States troops, other Coalition forces, and civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But the court found that the exemption was not intended “as an all-purpose damper on global controversy.”

The Bush administration had also argued that releasing the photographs would violated the Geneva Conventions, which protect prisoners of war and detained civilians “against insults and public curiosity.” The court ruled that the Geneva Conventions “do not prohibit dissemination of images of detainees being abused when the images are redacted so as to protect the identities of the detainees, at least in situations where, as here, the purpose of the dissemination is not itself to humiliate the detainees.”

Moreover, the court found that releasing “the photographs is likely to further the purposes of the Geneva Conventions by deterring future abuse of prisoners.”

“There is a significant public interest in the disclosure of these photographs,” the court ruled. “The defendants concede that these photographs yield evidence of governmental wrongdoing, but nonetheless argue that they add little additional value to the written summaries of the depicted events, which have already been made public. This contention disregards FOIA’s central purpose of furthering governmental accountability, and the special importance the law accords to information revealing official misconduct.”

A November 6, 2008, petition for a re-hearing was denied last month.

The Obama administration could have opted to go all the way to the Supreme Court to try to keep these photographs from public view, but yesterday Acting U.S. Attorney Lev L. Dassin wrote to District Judge Alvin Hellerstein and said the Pentagon was preparing to release 21 photos at issue in the appeal, in addition to 23 others “previously identified as responsive.”

The materials will be released to the ACLU no later than May 28, after which the ACLU says it will make them public. This release will come just days before President Obama travels to the volatile Middle East.

Dassin wrote that the Pentagon also was “processing for release a substantial number of other images contained in Army CID reports that have been closed during the pendency of this case.”

Singh said in a statement that the photographs “will constitute visual proof that, unlike the Bush administration’s claim, the abuse was not confined to Abu Ghraib and was not aberrational. Their disclosure is critical for helping the public understand the scope and scale of prisoner abuse as well as for holding senior officials accountable for authorizing or permitting such abuse.”

Lowenthal said his former colleagues at the CIA were “put off” by President Obama’s trip to the CIA earlier this week. “I don’t think the president’s speech went down very well, particularly the part when he said they made mistakes. They don’t think they made mistakes. They think they acted to execute policy. And those in the intelligence service don’t make policy.”

Those in intelligence are “gong to become increasingly wary about doing dangerous things,” Lowenthal said. “They feel at the end of the day they won’t be covered. It’s not irreparable right now, but it’s problematic.”

 

 

 

By Any Means Necessary: Obama’s Need to Remold America

 

 

Internationalism, trans-nationalism, is the order of the day at the White House of Barak Husain Obama.  Does Barak the Beneficent get in a snit when he realizes that the people will likely block some of his pet projects key to building the Socialist States of America? No.  Barak Obama knows full well that he can’t get his “cap and trade” tax from congress so he’s likely to sign an international treaty, that the senate will ratify, that will do the same thing.  Nifty, don’t you think?

Obama can’t get guns away from the law abiding citizens because we’re too busy clinging to god, guns and religion?  No problem.  He’ll sign an international agreement, a treaty that will effectively ban citizens from owning guns or make it so onerous and risky to do so that people will give up.  Obama wins again.

Barak wants to make the old white men on Wall Street share with the other children in the world and he knows he can’t come up with excuses to redistribute their wealth fast enough to get the job done, even if he had two term’s so what does he do?  Easy!  He signs an international treaty that no one really pays attention to (You know, like the act creating the Federal Reserve) and overnight the power has shifted from America without anyone really realizing it!  Genius!  This proves Barak is a citizen of the world and a real cool guy!

Obama doesn’t want to dictate terms to the world anymore because that’s not fair nor is it politically correct.  He wants to make sure that America is but one voice in a chorus when it comes to control of the global economy and with the article below one can get a good sense of how he’ll go about doing it. Barak believes that if something is good enough for Mozambique and Mauritania its good enough for the United States of America.

If Obama can’t get something he wants from congress or the courts look for him to turn it into a treaty of some kind so he can get what he wants using  world opinion rather than the ballot box or the constitution.  Look for this sort of thing to be a trend.

Changes Suggest Shift in How Global Economy Is Run

Inside a cavernous assembly hall in downtown Washington, dignitaries gather twice a year for routine meetings of the International Monetary Fund. Before long, though, the room could take center stage in the IMF’s transformation into a veritable United Nations for the global economy.

Surrounded by blond wood paneling and a digital screen the size of a cinema’s, central bankers and finance ministers would meet to convene a financial security council of sorts. Serving almost as ambassadors to the IMF, they would debate ways to put out the world’s economic fires and stifle reckless policies before they ignite new ones.

Bowing to a new economic world order, the IMF would grant fresh powers to the likes of China, India and Brazil. It would have vastly expanded authority to act as a global banker to governments rich and poor. And with more flexibility to effectively print its own money, it would have the ability to inject liquidity into global markets in a way once limited to major central banks, including the U.S. Federal Reserve.

That image of a radically transformed IMF — whose role in the global economy had turned largely advisory in recent years — is now coming together through internal IMF documents, interviews and think-tank reports. Finance ministers from major nations will begin grappling with the formidable details of the IMF’s makeover this weekend when they converge in Washington for the fund’s biannual assembly.

The changes, broadly outlined by President Obama and other leaders of the Group of 20 nations in London earlier this month, could take months, even years to take shape. But the IMF is all but certain to take a central role in managing the world economy. As a result, Washington is poised to become the power center for global financial policy, much as the United Nations has long made New York the world center for diplomacy.

The IMF’s mission is expanding so broadly that its managing director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, said in an interview that the organization — which underwent deep cuts last year before the financial crisis swept the globe — may boost staffing in coming months, potentially creating dozens of high-paying jobs in the District.

“The IMF is changing, and with it, there will be a sea change in the way the world economy is run,” said C. Fred Bergsten, director of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. “Their role will dramatically shift. You’re talking about monitoring fiscal stimulus, moving toward tighter regulations for financial institutions. You’re talking about global economic management in a way we have never seen.”

Already, the economic crisis is triggering a profound cultural shift, with the IMF moving away from its long-held mission to spread the gospel of capitalism around the globe.

Founded at the end of World War II to maintain stability in global currency markets, it later became known as the lender of last resort for nations in crisis, particularly as financial fires raced across Asia and Latin America in the 1990s. Its bailouts, however, were the bane of many poor countries; they often came with demands for fiscal austerity and free-market reform as the cures for developing nations — even if that meant nations had to cut back on programs for health care and schools.

The IMF, Strauss-Kahn suggested, will become less ideological. Critics maintain the fund is still attaching too many restrictions to its longer-term bailouts for poor countries. But the IMF has signed off in recent weeks on no-strings-attached credit lines for countries with solid economic track records, offering $47 billion to Mexico and $20.5 billion to Poland.

“If the fund is considering a country and is technically convinced that privatization of any enterprise is needed to fix the country today, let’s privatize. But if it’s a general idea of privatization that has nothing to do with the problem, let’s forget it,” Strauss-Kahn said. “At the same time, if nationalization will help, let’s do it.”

Developing nations — including some that were once down-and-out clients of the fund — are now coming to the IMF’s rescue as part of the pledge made by leaders in London to beef up the organization’s war chest to $1 trillion. In exchange for better representation on the governing board, China, which has fewer voting rights than Belgium, is set to give more than $40 billion. Brazil, which received a massive IMF bailout in the late 1990s, is pledging $4.5 billion.

There is even talk that the next managing director — traditionally a European, while an American ran its sister organization, the World Bank — may come from the developing world. “Why not?” Strauss-Kahn said.

For an organization long demonized by the developing world, such changes were once unthinkable. “I spent 20 years of my life carrying posters that said ‘IMF out,’ ” Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a former union leader, said last week in Rio de Janeiro. “Now the minister of finance says we are going to lend money to the IMF.”

The IMF is also moving toward taking the lead role as the global economic watchdog. An intense debate, however, remains over the scope of the edicts it may issue as well as the power it will be granted to enforce them.

Along with the Switzerland-based Financial Stability Board, the IMF is set to develop benchmarks for financial governance, from guidelines on executive pay to methods to prevent the spread of toxic assets through global banks. But no one is talking seriously about allowing the IMF to impose sanctions to force compliance as the United Nations does. There is even a strong reluctance to grant the IMF powers such as those held by the World Trade Organization in Geneva, which issues binding rulings on violations of global trade law.

Instead, the IMF is likely to wield what Strauss-Kahn called “the strength of truth telling.” Put another way, the organization’s public pronouncements would carry the force of the nations seated at its table, including the world’s most powerful industrialized and developing economies.

Some critics, however, say that may not be enough. A case in point: An internal IMF document recently called for Eastern European nations to adopt the euro as their currency to stabilize their economies, even without the approval of euro-zone nations. But stiff opposition from Western Europe has thus far prevented that document from being made public.

Additionally, some smaller European and low-income nations remain skeptical about the creation of a financial security council, arguing they would not be well represented. Even within the IMF, there is a debate over the council’s purview and makeup. Some see the council turning into a venue to hash out major economic disputes, such as U.S. and European charges that China is keeping its currency artificially weak.

Others say it should steer away from country-specific rulings. Another camp argues the fund should not exist at all. Even Strauss-Kahn has sought to dispel the notion of too grand a role for the IMF, saying its primary mission should remain monitoring and surveillance rather than enforcement.

“The fund is supposed to take on a more regulatory role, holding accountable even wealthy countries,” said Moshin Khan, the IMF’s former Middle East and Central Asia director. “But I will have to see that happen to believe it. Whenever I’ve seen them going after the bigger countries, if the countries don’t like what the fund has to say, the fund doesn’t say it.”

 

 

The Big Green Economic Machine: No one is willing to “Invest” in Obama’s Green Energy Jobs

 

 

The Initial Purchase Offerings of stocks, to fund new business ventures, devoted to launching the green technology the democrats fantasies about; while they block any attempt to increase domestic production of oil, coal or nuclear energy, has dropped by nearly 90%.  We have the oil and the ability to vastly expand production but congress won’t allow it.  We have the coal and new clean coal technologies being developed; but Obama wants to kill the entire coal industry with his Cap and Trade policy.  We have nuclear technology and can make nuclear plants but Jane Fonda made a movie called the China Syndrome and now congress won’t let us have that either.

Obama and Pelosi’s Politburo assure us that the energy of the future will be wind and solar powered homes with befouled clean green gas to run our cars if the eclectic cars batteries don’t quite do the job. Our national leaders in the democrat congress and the White house tell us that all these green technologies will provide millions of jobs that will lift us out of the recession/depression while saving the Polar Bears and the Spotted Owl. The democrats were pregnant with ideas about how green jobs will pave the way to a “sustainable” future but it seems that the pregnancy was abruptly aborted when no one wanted to invest in green energy producing companies.  It seems that Pelosi and Obama, who expected to parent our new green way of life, will not be parents after all.  No money to start the companies means no green energy revolution: and no jobs.  Oooops.

Given the congressional witch hunts in the newly nationalized banking and auto industries; no sane private investor would be willing to invest in green technology in this age of government jihads against the private sector in particular and capitalism in general.  If you make a great solar panel or if you develop a battery that can hold its charge, and power a car for a week of 300 miles a day driving, you may find government taking over your business and regulating your pay if they think you charge too much.  Welcome to Obama’s America and the new normal, if you invent a better mouse trap you’re an exploitive, capitalist, planet raping dirt bag whose money should be redistributed to anybody but White Guys.  (White Guys invented slavery and exploitation you understand.)  Being successful is selfish and all gain must necessarily come at someone else’s expense so it’s the government’s sacred duty to take your money and give it to the deserving. If you invent a better mouse trap: just send it to Obama or Pelosi and maybe they’ll throw you a bone or get you a good government job.

The guy or gal that makes green energy practical won’t get rich like the old inventers of yesteryear.  The inventors of green technology will get a pat on the head from President Obama and the satisfaction of helping their socialist country while sacrificing future generations in a bankrupt country that can’t raise the capital to implement it.

It’s not just green technology that can’t attract investors it’s all our IPO’s (Initial purchase offerings) that’s down to the tune of about 60%. The land of the free and the home of the brave as well as the innovators and the entrepreneurs are finding the financial climate quite hostile these days. Risk is just too risky in a world where the government can make up the rules as it goes along and nationalize whole industries overnight if Barney Frank thinks it’s a good idea.  Those mean old rich people don’t want to play in a democrat sandbox if it means that they take all the risk and only the socialist government is rewarded. 

The next Bill Gates will be from China or Europe not America.  Those days are now officially over.

Venture Capital Investments Plunge 61% Amid Frozen IPO Market

April 18 (Bloomberg) — U.S. venture capital investments fell 61 percent to $3 billion in the first quarter, the lowest level in 12 years, as the financial crisis chased away funding for technology and clean-energy deals.

Funding of clean technology — coming off a surge of investments in 2007 and 2008 — plunged 87 percent, the National Venture Capital Association said today. Total venture investments dropped 47 percent from the previous three months.

The freeze in initial public offerings kept startups from getting funding because investors weren’t sure how they would earn a return, said John Taylor, vice president of research at the Arlington, Virginia-based association. Venture capitalists are devoting more attention to companies they already own.

“We are in a very difficult, stressed time,” Taylor said on a conference call. “Everyone is trying to figure out what is going on.”

Venture capitalists are now wary of the large financial commitments needed to commercialize technologies such as solar power and ethanol, said Noubar Afeyan, chief executive officer of Flagship Ventures in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The investments don’t seem to provide a quick payoff, he said.

“A lot of that money came in expecting a short-term exit, which didn’t happen,” Afeyan said.

The IPO market showed signs of thawing this week, with two companies going public. Bridgepoint Education Inc., a provider of college courses, began trading April 15. Shares of language- software maker Rosetta Stone Inc. debuted on April 16.

Still, the deals probably won’t open the floodgates, said Stephen Harrick, general partner at Institutional Venture Partners, a backer of the Twitter Inc. microblogging site.

“We have companies we think are ready or could be ready, but there hasn’t been any interest from the capital markets,” Harrick said.

The average size of a venture-capital investment fell to $5.5 million from $7.8 million a year ago, the NVCA said. Most of the investments are going to later-stage companies.

Tea Parties, Blatant Media Corruption and Treason: Just another Day’s Work for Barak Obama

 

 

The mainstream media has failed to take their duty to report the news seriously. Political corruption has so infected today’s reporters that they no longer report the news but manipulate and twist it, according to their agenda, instead of reporting it.  By not reporting a vast upwelling of American anger they hope to avoid the just criticism of Obama who was, and remains, the media’s candidate. Elite media types hate to get an “I told you so” from the American People and I hope their partisan handling of this story does not lead to real trouble in the end. With more than 700 protests across the country the people want to be heard and the media’s attempts to stifle this outcry will doubtless face ratings repercussions.

Reporters should report the news not take a jaundiced democrat eye toward news that’s either critical of the democrats or favorable to the conservatives.  With so many protests across the length and breadth of America and with Paid Democrat Operatives from ACORN and MOVE ON converging on the demonstrations there is the possibility that trouble will ensue: BUT NONE DID.   Failure to cover these events is both an act of unpardonable political censorship by what is supposed to be a “free press” and very poor news judgment. Like many liberals the press is quick to expound on its “rights” at great length but they seem to be in denial about their “responsibilities” to report objectively.  News organizations who offer biased reports of this phenomenon, or who refuse to cover the story because of their open affection for democrats and socialists, should lose the privilege of reporting the news because they’ve failed their responsibility to report the truth.

 

More worrisome still are the actions of the Department of Homeland Security who seems to regard all conservatives, Christians, veterans and some republicans, as potential terrorists.  The Department of Homeland Security sees these Tea Parties as a threat and is said to be infiltrating the ranks of law abiding Americans who happen to be conservative or who are aghast at out of control government spending. If this is not a blatant attempt to intimidate the electorate than I don’t know what is.  The Obama administration has a heart that only Joseph Gobbles and Heinrich Himmler could fully love and appreciate.  This is the United States of American and we don’t use police powers to intimidate free political speech or the right to assemble.  That’s the sort of thing we expect from Stalin’s Russia, Chaves in Venezuela and the Keystone Cops instead of DHS. 

It’s a sure bet that Pelosi’s Politburo would be fully in agreement that all these fired up conservatives are a threat to the Democrat Party, (and the glorious new socialist utopia they plan for us,) but in no way is it a  legitimate threat to the United States of America.  I call on President Obama; who is ultimately responsible for this un-American activity, to fire the Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, and all her senior deputies because any decent American knew the report was morally wrong.  This is very much over the line and if Homeland Security is to be used to attack conservatives while Obama bows to Arab Dictators, and ignores Islamic terror, than it either DHS needs to be disbanded or its leadership fired and replaced by people who target real terrorists not those who disagree with Obama and his thugs. It is un-American and forbidden to criminalize the political opposition in this nation and stunts like this and the revival of the “fairness doctrine” must receive the highest possible sanctions if we’re to remain a free people.

 

I guess it was just a matter of time before the traditional paranoia of a Democrat President led to the horrific damage that Obama just did to our intelligence agencies in general and the CIA in particular.  Bill Clinton completely disempowered the CIA because its director wouldn’t comply with his political whims and Jimmy Carter gutted all human intelligence capabilities over urban myths and his belief that satellites can tell us everything the enemy is up to including their intentions.  (It didn’t turn out that way!) It’s one thing to see the Obama Media completely fail to live up to their responsibilities, it’s another to see Obama fail to punish a gross abuse of government police power that effectively criminalizes anyone who disagrees with him: but it’s another to see him gouge out our very eyes in a terribly dangerous world. Barak Husain Obama has laid out for our terrorist’s enemies, whom he calls criminals instead of terrorists, all our best techniques that George Bush used to keep our nation safe after September 11^th.  It’s as if the Obama people are inviting more terrorist attacks and giving the terrorists free tutoring on how to make sure they succeed! 

It has been tough going for Obama lately and the Tea Parties must have been something of an annoyance: so maybe our new president needs another crisis to place us fully into European Socialism.  It seems enigmatic to observe Obama’s love and need for European Approval when the president of FRANCE just called Barak Obama essentially weak and stupid.  (It astounds me to see France call anyone weak and stupid but it astounds me even more to agree with France!) It brings to mind tender memories of how former chancellor Gerhardt Schroder of Germany used to slap around Jimmy Carter and lecture the incompetent peanut farmer about how to conduct foreign policy 101.  Jimmy Carter and CIA Director Stansfield Turner fired our entire human intelligence network and the stupidity of that act resounds and reverberates across the nation to this day.  Perhaps Obama doesn’t want to be outdone by Carter because the stupidity of what this incompetent, ideological, socialist president has done will have a very real cost paid in American blood and the forfeiture of our way of life for countless future generations.  This is so incomprehensible an error and so unforgivable a violation of a presidents oath of office that a real congress would go to impeachment hearing immediately but Pelosi’s Politburo will doubtless name a national park after Barak, spend a few more trillions, socialize our medical care and enjoy their weekend.   It’s Just another day at the Oval Office in this the first year of Barak the Beneficent.

White House senior adviser David Axelrod says President Barack Obama spent about a month pondering whether to release Bush-era memos about CIA interrogation techniques, and considered it “a weighty decision.”“He thought very long and hard about it, consulted widely, because there were two principles at stake,” Axelrod said . “One is … the sanctity of covert operations … and keeping faith with the people who do them, and the impact on national security, on the one hand. And the other was the law and his belief in transparency.”

The president consulted officials from the Justice Department, the CIA, the director of National Intelligence and the Homeland Security Department, according to his adviser.

“It was a weighty decision,” Axelrod said. “As with so many issues, there are competing points of view that flow from very genuine interests and concerns that are to be respected. And then the president has to synthesize all of it and make a decision that’s in the broad national interest. He’s been thinking about this for four weeks, really.”

A former top official in the administration of President George W. Bush called the publication of the memos “unbelievable.”

“It’s damaging because these are techniques that work, and by Obama’s action today, we are telling the terrorists what they are,” the official said. “We have laid it all out for our enemies. This is totally unnecessary. … Publicizing the techniques does grave damage to our national security by ensuring they can never be used again — even in a ticking-time- bomb scenario where thousands or even millions of American lives are at stake.”

“I don’t believe Obama would intentionally endanger the nation, so it must be that he thinks either 1. the previous administration, including the CIA professionals who have defended this program, is lying about its importance and effectiveness, or 2. he believes we are no longer really at war and no longer face the kind of grave threat to our national security this program has protected against.”

Obama did not act on an arbitrary timeline. There was a deadline in a court case with the ACLU on Thursday. It had been extended, but the ACLU was not going to agree to another.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Toxic Professional Politicians are Killing Us: Obama to Force Amnesty for Illegal’s in the Fall

 

 

The Extreme leftist agenda of the Democrats will add another seminal issue to the landslide of outrageous anti American legislation they want to enact in the fall: they want to legalize tens of millions of criminal aliens and pay off the Hispanics for their votes. Obama’s minions in the “Hispanic Community” otherwise known as “activists” have begun to prepare the ground for an amnesty proposal Obama will push starting in May with a rubberstamp of the democrat congress in the fall.  The votes of legitimate Americans, and honorable immigrants who have achieved citizenship by respecting American law, will be diluted by 12 million or more illegal aliens mostly from Mexico. The Democrats are well aware of the opinion of the American People from the “comprehensive immigration reform” championed by George W. Bush and John McCain that was defeated largely from public outrage.  Bush, however reluctantly, bowed to the will of the American People while Obama will ram it down our throats because he has the votes and he doesn’t care what we think. (Apparently Barak Husain Obama bows only to the King of Saudi Arabia.) Already Hispanic activists are preparing the ground to raise a ground swell of manufactured outrage from the Hispanic community who will doubtless paint all who dare disagree as “racist, sexist, homophobic, right wing extremists”. How dare Americans set the laws for America without the approval of the Mexicans!  Who do we think we are??

Democrats and the Immoral Political Correctness they push are destroying the social fabric of our nation with this crazy leftist socialist grab bag of failed socialist policies from the last fifty years.  Their mission is to do so much damage in the first two years that much of their socialist agenda will never be fully undone by successive congresses. Democrats believe that the ends justify the means and they’ve become a menace to our national security with their weakness and they’ve become a menace to our moral character with their hedonism and contempt for any kind of law.  Hatred and contempt for America has been a part of the democrat mission for many years and now we see the consequences of electing anti Americans to lead America.  Decent Americans are rapidly coming to the conclusion that we’re at war with our own professional political class including all democrats and about half of the republicans. 

·        Democrats in recent days have declared war on financial success with massive spending and tax increases that penalizes success by confiscatory tax policy.

·        Democrats have declared war on the energy resources we have (Oil, Coal, Nuclear, Natural Gas) in favor of mythical energy technology we don’t have.

·        Democrats have declared war on banks and have resorted to outright nationalization of banks and now are busy capping pay for executives and the whole industry according to some bizarre socialist ethic that acts out their class hatred and contempt for excellence.

·        Democrats are hell bent on socializing medicine so that we’re all equal in receiving the same substandard care that socialized medicine always produces.

·        Democrats want to stop all research and development of new drugs because excessive regulation makes them expensive to produce and high cost means that not everyone can afford them.  Kiss your grandma goodbye because the democrats don’t want to allow us to develop drugs because someone might not be able to afford it! 

·        Democrats have declared war on auto companies, they refuse to deal with union contracts and insane benefits that have destroyed American manufacturing and are insisting that bankrupt company’s build environmentally better cars that NO ONE WANTS TO BUY. 

·        Democrats have declared war on employers and they move to strengthen their union commissars by taking away the right to secret ballots when voting on allowing a union to organize them. The secret ballot and voting is a basic right of Americans that Democrats will take away so they increase their contributions and electoral interference by Union Goons in our national elections.

·        Democrats have declared war on America by giving our financial sovereignty to a faceless panel of regulators concocted by the G20, and advocated by nations like France.

·        Democrats have declared war on humanity by experimenting on human children for stem cell research we don’t need, but they want, because the thought of anyone telling them “no” drives them stark raving mad.

·        Democrats have declared war on free speech by attacking internet freedom, Advancing Political Correctness, colonizing and corrupting whole industries like education and the media.  They try for censorship laws to muzzle those who don’t agree with them and give things cute fake names like the “Fairness Doctrine.” 

·        Democrats are constantly making up new names for themselves and their despicable policy initiatives because if they called it what it was no one would vote for it.  They don’t call themselves Socialists they call themselves “Democrats” or “Progressives”.  They don’t call it infanticide they call it “A Woman’s Constitutional Right to Reproductive Freedom”. 

·        Democrats have corrupted the census by using estimating techniques invented by liberal social scientists rather than counting people as required by the constitution. Democrats will use corrupt front groups like ACORN to do the counting regardless of the fact of the accusations of voter fraud in many states and if that wasn’t enough they intend to give the White House political hacks supervision of the thing.

·        Democrats are engaging in generational theft in their headlong attempt to bankrupt the United States of America. Democrats don’t believe in private property.  What’s yours is theirs and they can make the laws to enforce this perverse ethic.

·        Democrats have declared war on Christianity by deriding every Christian value and by attacking charitable giving and expressing contempt for Christians “imposing their values on society” as if we don’t have the right to be who we are and let our faith inform our vote! Democrats hare trying to excise words like “Christmas” and “Easter” from our vocabulary. You don’t say merry Christmas you say happy holidays.  You don’t have Christmas break you have winter break.  You can’t have a Christmas tree anymore you have a “giving tree”.   Democrat lawyers are attacking every public display of faith or Christian symbols. No manger scenes, crosses or even the Ten Commandments on public land unless you have a shrine to Islam, Judaism and Wicca right next to it.  Democrats have excluded Christianity from the schools but not Islam or Judaism.  Democrats mock and deride Christianity at every turn and their commentators and columnists equate Islamic terror as religious terrorism.  When’s the last time you saw a Methodist plant a pipe bomb or blow himself up in a shopping mall?

Joe McCarthy was right.  He warned us about communists in the 1950’sand now look at the insanity we have in Washington.  If we don’t stop Obama and Pelosi and their “fellow travelers” our grandkids will inherit the lifestyle of a pavement dweller in the third world.

Well here’s yet another outrage in the New York Times.  Obama is going to stick it to us racist, sexist, homophobic Americans, just like he bragged to the Europeans he would, by legalizing any Mexican who can sneak across the border!

It sure was nice of Obama to apologize for all our American values last week in Europe by bravely pointing out what a worthless nation we are.  Thanks Mr. President!  America really does suck and deserve to be transformed into something resembling the Soviet Union or Kenya.  It’s really stylish for us to elect a rabid anti American like Obama to be our leader and mock us on the world stage.

Barak Obama and the Democrats are the greatest threat to this nation since the Revolutionary War and every decent American needs to find the time to call their representatives, contribute to democrat foes, march non violently in the streets or we’re going to lose this country for good. The Democrats have become toxic to the body politics and this Immigration Scam is just the latest example of that fact.

The Democrats have declared war on America as their actions clearly demonstrate.  If the people don’t stand up and fire the congress, all of them, in the next election we’re finished as the land of the free and the home of the brave.  Our own professional politicians have betrayed us and only new elections and term limits can save us now.

Big cities vote for democrats, (progressives, liberals, socialists, whatever they’re calling themselves this week) and the rural area’s and suburbs vote for republicans.  It’s a well known truism for how the nation votes and the founding fathers offset the power of the city mobs visa vie the rural area’s by the establishment of the electoral college.  New York may vote for say Obama and North Dakota may vote for Palin but the votes in each state in the electoral college control for small states always being run over by big states with lots of big cities.  Welcome to the American System.

Democrats want to go to a system where only the popular vote has meaning which would always supply us with a democrat president as long as places with huge populations like California and the North East with its dense population and cities and the game is over.  Why, given the fact that we’ve become more socialist than socialist Europe in a matter of months they think they need to do this to ensure uninterrupted power over us is a mystery.  Once again the democrat party is trying any means fair or foul to stack the deck in their favor.  This is just another back up plan to other initiatives that the Obama administration has initiated lately.  They picked a commerce secretary who wants to use models to estimate the census instead of doing a head count.  This allows them to over represent the poor, minorities and other pet client groups and to under represent people favorable to traditional American values.  They are having ACORN help collect the census information even though ACORN is under investigation for voter fraud on the side of democrats in lots of states.  They’ve given or intend to give billion of our tax dollars to ACORN as “economic stimulus” and Attorney General Holder seem uninterested in investigating this corrupt outrage of an “advocacy” group.

Obama drones have advanced about 20% of the way toward destroying the electoral college and the republic as they proudly lead the people to a weird socialist, facist, statist hybrid of mob rule “democracy”.  There are hurdles to overcome but they’re active on all fronts and quite determined to remake the united states into something resembaling France or Norway.  Given the militant attack on every American value and tradition that the Democrats are mounting with fanatical zeal and furvor this is just another one of many issues that must force Americans who never protest into the streets for non violent protests and even cival disobedience if events warrant.  Attacks like this one realy strike at the soul of America and I’d rather trust our future to Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin and John Adams than Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank and Barak Obama.

© 2009 WorldNetDaily Activists seeking to eliminate the Electoral College in favor of a popular vote to elect the president boast that their movement is almost one-fifth the way to its goal.

Four states – Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland and New Jersey – which represent 50 of the 270 electoral votes needed to declare a presidential election winner, have committed to an agreement whereby they would grant their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, a move that – if adopted by enough states – would reduce the Electoral College to irrelevancy.

With most of the nation’s states considering similar bills pending in their respective legislatures, activists are looking to 2016 as a possible death date for the Electoral College.

John Koza, chairman of National Popular Vote, a group leading the charge to eliminate the Electoral College, explains the agreement won’t go into effect until states with a total of 270 electoral votes join in.

“We have 20 percent of the electoral votes we need,” Koza told the Washington Times. “The whole idea of the bill is that no state can do this alone. It only goes into effect when we have 270 electoral votes.”

Advocates of the change in national election policy argue that it would end the current practice of candidates focusing on “swing states,” and compel them to address the nation at large. It would also prevent a situation, such as happened with George W. Bush in the 2000 election, where a candidate loses the popular vote but wins in the Electoral College.

Opponents of the change argue that turning the election over to the popular vote would result in candidates focusing only on major metropolitan areas and television campaigns, cutting out rural America altogether, and that it would overturn our Founding Fathers’ vision of a republican form of government, replacing it with a pure democracy, where the majority has mob rule.

Koza explained his support of a popular vote system to the Times by arguing that two-thirds of the campaign dollars in the 2008 election were spent in six swing states and 90 percent was spent in only 15 states.

“When you’re in a non-battleground state, which is two-thirds of the states, you tend to get ignored,” Koza said. “People are figuring out that in most states, they don’t count. If anything, this presidential election reminded them that they don’t count.”

The Times reports that nearly every state has introduced popular vote legislation this year, and seven states have passed it in one chamber. Colorado, where the Senate has passed the legislation twice before, may be the next state to approve it, since the House passed it for the first time last month.

“The winner-take-all system isn’t only undemocratic, it’s also dysfunctional,” said Colorado state Sen. Andy Kerr, a Democrat who sponsored the Colorado legislation.

Opponents of electing a president by popular election, however, argue that the change would cause candidates to concentrate on major population centers, where votes can be scored in bunches, rather than traveling the country through states whose electoral votes are currently needed for victory. Transferring the campaign dollars from focusing on states to focusing on metropolitan population centers, they argue, isn’t any more “fair” of a system.

“Those swing states can actually be quite diverse,” said Colorado Sen. Shawn Mitchell, a Republican who opposes the popular-vote legislation. “It’s a slam-dunk that the 10 battleground states are more representative of the broad national interest than the 10 biggest metropolitan areas.”

As WND reported, an analysis of the issue by Wallbuilders, a Christian organization with expertise in historical and constitutional issues, also warned that the popular vote system would introduce its own dangers.

The analysis quoted Curtis Gans, of the Committee for the Study of the American Electorate, who said getting rid of the Electoral College would reduce political campaigns in the United States to “television advertising” and “tarmac.”

“There would be virtually no incentive to try to mobilize constituencies, organize specific interests, or devote any resources to such things as voter registration and education,” said Gans. “What we would have is a political system that combines the worst of network television with the worst of the modern campaign.”

Wallbuilders also noted that – along with proposals to have Congress or the state legislatures choose a president – the idea of a national popular vote was discussed by the authors of the Constitution:

“This idea was rejected not because the framers distrusted the people but rather because the larger populous states would have much greater influence than the smaller states and therefore the interests of those smaller states could be disregarded or trampled,” Wallbuilders said.

The hotly contested 2000 election illustrated how the Electoral College preserves the voice of the smaller states and more rural areas. Though candidate Al Gore won the popular vote – and therefore would have won the presidency under the proposed changes – his edge came largely from concentrated urban areas: Gore carried only 676 American counties, while Bush carried 2,436 counties.

Following the 2000 election, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, made the argument in a column called “A Republic, Not a Democracy” that the Electoral College is a necessary extension of the Founding Fathers’ vision for our country:

“The Founding Fathers were concerned with liberty, not democracy. In fact, the word democracy does not appear in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. On the contrary, Article IV, section 4 of the Constitution is quite clear: ‘The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican Form of Government (emphasis added).’ The emphasis on democracy in our modern political discourse has no historical or constitutional basis,” wrote Paul.

“Our Founders instituted a republican system to protect individual rights and property rights from tyranny, regardless of whether the tyrant was a king, a monarchy, a congress, or an unelected mob,” Paul continued. “They believed that a representative government, restrained by the Bill of Rights and divided into three power-sharing branches, would balance the competing interests of the population. They also knew that unbridled democracy would lead to the same kind of tyranny suffered by the colonies under King George. In other words, the Founders had no illusions about democracy. Democracy represented unlimited rule by an omnipotent majority, while a constitutionally limited republic was seen as the best system to preserve liberty. Inalienable individual liberties enshrined in the Bill of Rights would be threatened by the ‘excesses of democracy.’”

Paul’s spokesperson, Jeff Deist, summarized the congressman’s argument against purely democratic rule.

“Majority tyranny is just as bad as any other kind of tyranny,” said Deist. “It makes no difference whether your liberty and property are taken by a king or a majority of individuals.”
