If I were to tell you that a fictional county existed, in the midst of an oil crisis, with plentiful oil recourses and the technology to retrieve the oil, but it refused to do so at the risk of their way of life and the destruction of their children’s future; what would you say?
What if I told you the reason for this strange behavior was based on adherence to a global warming theory that has an embarrassingly large body of contrary evidence building against it by the day?
What if I told you that gas prices per gallon went from say $2 to say, $5.75 in about a year and a half? What if this resulted in massive increases in every commodity imaginable from heating oil to food to toothpaste; while the government stubbornly refused to permit new drilling, or the building of new refineries?
What if the government instead insisted on burning up our corn supply, wisely using food for fuel; for the sake of our beloved Chevy’s?
What if I told you that the resulting food riots across the third world produced great hatred of this fictional country for putting food in their gas tank instead of putting the food in the bellies of the starving?
What if I told you that the people of the country would elect a man whose sworn allegiance to this bankrupt theory of manmade global warming would, guaranteed, do nothing to alleviate this oil crisis?
What if I told you this messianic leader promising change would continue to borrow money from his country’s enemy to pay for oil from his country’s other enemy while the standard of living for his citizens reverts back to the early 1900’s?
What if I told you that in the core of his being, this country’s newly elected leader, was glad because he’s always felt that his country used too much of the world’s oil anyway and that the economic destruction of his nation was both deserved and inevitable?
What if I told you that this newly elected leader believed that the people of his country were bad people because they were clearly racist, sexist and homophobic just as he was taught at all the country’s best schools?
What if I told you that he got the same message for twenty years at his church resulting in a leader who really didn’t like the people he was supposed to lead? What if I told you that he secretly hated the people of his country? Would you think that this was some farfetched science fiction drama? Would you think it was just hate speech from some vast right wing conspiracy?
Did Bush do it?
Senator Barak Obama is quite likely to be the President of the United States of America on January 20 2009. How did we as a people come to this point of throwing away our nation with our eyes wide shut and our feet planted firmly in thin air?
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
