The Presidential Election is less than a month away and the predictable players in electoral fraud are once again congregating to throw the election to the Democrat Party. The “Progressives” among us talk a good game, but in the end they’ll do anything to win, including cheating, and this year is no exception. The cheating campaign has several components that are the same from year to year and if we don’t do something to ensure the credibility of the electoral process: then democracy, as well as capitalism, is finished in the United States.
Far Left groups like ACORN, Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, receive hundreds of millions of dollars from congress to be a brass knuckles advocate for the democrat party. Acorn has a reputation for a widespread pattern of voter fraud and the mess they’ve already made in a dozen states, with fraudulent voter registration, is astounding. The Congress is literally paying ACORN, with our tax dollars, to steal the election from the voters and change the country into a socialist utopia like Europe. Consider this post from Townhall.com by Ken Blackwell. http://townhall.com/columnists/KenBlackwell/2008/09/30/an_acorn_falls_from_the_tree
ACORN has often been in the news since 2004. Officially, they work to register voters and support housing. In reality, everyone in public life knows that they are hardcore supporters for the Democratic Party, and employ bare-knuckle tactics. Their organization is plagued by repeated investigations of voter fraud and other crimes.
In Ohio, where as secretary of state I oversaw elections for eight years, ACORN has been busy. One ACORN man in Reynoldsburg was indicted on two felony counts of voter fraud, and another was indicted in Columbus. Other such problems surfaced in Cuyahoga County, where criminal investigations are ongoing.
It’s not just Ohio. ACORN personnel are facing criminal charges in over a dozen states. In Washington State, for example, seven ACORN leaders had felony charges filed against them for voter fraud.
And there’s an unexpected twist. One of the organizations accused of pushing banks into making many of the unwise loans at the heart of the current crisis is … ACORN. Now that’s ironic. An organization that possibly contributed to our current financial profits is now being considered to make money off of it. And by “money,” I’m referring to your tax money.
Twice already this year Congress has funneled money to ACORN. Some report that February’s economic stimulus included funds for ACORN, as did the bill to help people struggling with mortgages passed this April.
Not to be outdone you have the far left lunatic fringe in Hollywood who now makes movies based on social impact instead of entertainment value. In today’s Hollywood a picture has to have a message to get made. A motion picture should be an agent of social change masquerading as social commentary acceptable to the Susan Sarandon’s and Barbara Streisand’s of the world. Hollywood movies aren’t what they used to be these days because of the vapid, empty-headed, self absorption of the politically sophisticated left. I remember when movies were fun and you didn’t feel like you needed a shower after viewing them. Consider this review of the Oliver Stone film, W, from the Times online: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/film/film_reviews/article4903206.ece
W is a remarkable and historic film in two ways. First, Oliver Stone began making it (based on a partially completed script) only nine months ago. Secondly, it would not have found financing if not for some Chinese investors. For those reasons alone it represents an entirely new era of film-making: Hollywood (or Chollywood, perhaps), retooled to work at YouTube speed.
The film is certainly ambitious: it sets out to tell the life story of Bush from his days as a drunken Texan up until the point in 2004 when he had invaded Iraq but found no WMDs. The task of shoehorning all of this into a couple of hours however gets the better of Stone. Even as it jumps around in time, the script does not outmaneuver the audience enough to make them forget that they know what happens next. The satire is barely savage or clever enough to make up for the predictability.
As much as Stone strives to explain the motivation of Bush as being mainly about his issues with “poppy” (Bush Snr), by the unsatisfying final scene you do not feel as though you know the 43rd President any better than you did when you first walked into the cinema.
Indeed, in the final scene, Bush seems to be imploding amid the fiasco in Iraq. In reality, he won another term. Which suggests that, for all his research, Stone never really understood the man.
Not to be outdone you have our so called free press who has been shamelessly in the tank for Obama from day one. Not that I often go around agreeing with Hillary Clinton but the media essentially robbed her of the nomination by all the crazed Obama Hype led by the likes of MSNBC’s Chris Mathews and Keith Oberman. Their conduct was so openly and brazenly shameless in support of Obama that no self respecting news organization would keep these men on the air. I remember when NBC had a good reputation as journalists but now they’re among the worst examples of what happens when the cancer of “advocacy” metastasizes in the free press.
Journalists should report facts, not polls they themselves conducted for the purpose of showing a predetermined result; they then report these poll “results” to the public as “news”. Journalists no longer cover the horse race because they’re an integral part of the race. Political coverage by baby boom journalists ,who believe that objectivity is impossible in news reporting, has done more to destroy media credibility than anything else. In the last couple of elections the media seems to have gotten election night facts wrong, reported it, influenced the outcome, and had to correct the story after the damage was done.
The media was certain of a Gore win, and even more certain of a Kerry win; to such an extent that their reporting was so negative for the Republican that it may well have suppressed the Republican vote. Why go to the trouble of voting if you know in advance that your candidate has lost? The media has been wrong, always on the side of exaggerating the Democrats strength, in coverage that seems to reject the possibility of a Republican win. I’ve seen the media pull this sort of thing twice, and both times be wrong, which begs the question: is the media incompetent or just a bunch of liars? Consider the following from the Media Research Centers Website:
Specifically, “50 percent of voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama win versus 11 percent who believe they are trying to help his Republican opponent John McCain” with 26 percent saying “reporters offer unbiased coverage.”
Even amongst Democrats, more think journalists are aiding Democrat Obama than Republican McCain: “While 83 percent of Republican voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama, 19 percent of Democrats agree, one percentage point higher than the number of Democrats who believe they are trying to help McCain.” Most telling, “unaffiliated voters by a 53 percent to 10 percent margin see reporters trying to help Obama.”
Even avowed terrorist like Ahmed Yousuf have expressed a preference for Barak Obama over John McCain. Perhaps Hamas is not really a terror organization since they’ve met with Former President Jimmy Carter and thus become respectable. Consider this from World Net Daily: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=61631
JERUSALEM – On the eve of a planned meeting with former President Jimmy Carter, the isolated Hamas terrorist organization has expressed “hope” Sen. Barack Obama will win the presidential elections and “change” America’s foreign policy.
“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an exclusive interview with WND and with the John Batchelor Show on WABC Radio in New York.
Not to be outdone by Oliver Stone, Terrorists, or Chris Mathews it seems that even the whole wide world wants Obama to be the President of the United States! They took a poll, you see, and Obama won hands down! Consider this from ABC News: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/09/09/2360240.htm?section=world
All 22 countries covered in the poll would prefer to see Senator Obama elected US president ahead of Republican John McCain.
In 17 of the 22 nations, people expect relations between the US and the rest of the world to improve if Senator Obama wins.
More than 22,000 people were questioned by pollster GlobeScan in countries ranging from Australia to India and across Africa, Europe and South America.
The margin in favour of Senator Obama ranged from 9 per cent in India to 82 per cent in Kenya, while an average of 49 per cent across the 22 countries preferred Senator Obama compared with 12 per cent preferring Senator McCain. Some four in 10 did not take a view.
“Large numbers of people around the world clearly like what Barack Obama represents,” GlobeScan chairman Doug Miller said.
“Given how negative America’s international image is at present, it is quite striking that only one in five think a McCain presidency would improve on the Bush administration’s relations with the world.”
Our society’s efforts to be more inclusive of people voting has resulted in lax voter registration laws that has done much to promote fraudulent voting and diminish the credibility of the electoral process. It’s not just groups like ACORN its States that allow voting and registration on the same day and States that take almost anything as “proof of residence”. The cry is always that we should make it easy for everyone to vote. Some States go to crazy extremes to not “disenfranchise” the homeless or the poor, or various ethnic minorities, and so allow the vote to have all the credibility of a Soviet election. Ballots have to be printed in lots of languages so as not to “disenfranchise” immigrants whose only crime is not being able to understand English! There are other groups and some States who believe illegal immigrants should be able to vote.
Republicans and Conservatives who object to all this “inclusiveness” are subjected to withering attacks for being racist, anti immigrant, fascist for insisting on English ballots, or trying to disenfranchise people when they suggest that same day registration and voting be abolished. It’s not politically correct to suggest that voting is something so sacred that its being free of fraud is at least as important as being “inclusive” Conservatives that advocate having a registration cut off a month before voting with full anti fraud measures to ensure the vote is not stolen are mocked as racists and right wing exclusionists. To even suggest that a voter vote in English, have a legitimate address, and register a month before Election Day, is seen by some as racist while others, like conservatives, see it as common sense. But we don’t make a big thing out of it. We don’t dare.
And so we go into another election where we’re being assured by some in the media that republicans can’t win, that the world will be more peaceful if Obama wins, and that only republicans cheat, and ACORN is non partisan, and that homeless people should not be “disenfranchised”. Out elections are becoming more and more unfair, for fairness sake, and the conservatives are silent. If this election turns out to be close and not the landslide for Obama some in the media are predicting and if some key battleground states are where ACORN has been committing fraud: what does that do to President Barak Obama? Presidents need legitimacy to govern. Look what was done to Bush’s legitimacy in 2000! The most liberal member of the US Senate becomes our president because of Fraud and Media Bias, amid the greatest economic upheaval since the great depression. Obama needs to be able to govern, if he wins, and if the election is overly tainted by Saul Alisnski tactics, and fraud ,Obama will have a very rough term and so will we.
